INVITATION
We invite you to join us in the historic region of Çanakkale, Turkey, the legendary home of ancient Troy, for an international folklore festival and competition taking place from 03–07 July 2026.
This region is steeped in myth and history, offering a dramatic backdrop along the Dardanelles Strait and landscapes that whisper tales of the past. It provides an inspiring setting for cultural celebration, artistic competition, and international exchange.
FESTIVAL WELCOMES
The festival is open to folk dance groups of all ages.
GENERAL RULES
Performances should last between 6 and 8 minutes. Live music is preferred, while recorded music is also acceptable. Each group must prepare a minimum of two different performances. All groups are required to bring their national flag, and each participating country must bring three gifts for official exchanges. There is no limit on the number of participants per group.
The application must include a minimum of six digital group photos, a short group description, and performance videos or links with descriptions. Groups are responsible for organizing their own transport to Çanakkale.
As confirmation of participation, a non-refundable deposit of 1,000 EUR per group must be paid in advance. The remaining balance is due 15 days before the festival or upon arrival at the accommodation. The final application and deposit deadline is 15 April 2026.
ACCOMMODATION
Option 1 – 3-Star Hotel Stay
Hotels: Temizay, Helen, or Yurdakul Hotel
Fee: 205 EUR per person – 4 nights with half board (breakfast and dinner)
Option 2 – Quality Private Hostel Stay
Hostels: Kumru Suites, Tuna Kız Öğrenci Yurdu, or similar
Rooms: 2, 3, or 4 beds per room with private bathroom
Fee: 150 EUR per person – 4 nights with half board (2 meals daily)
Additional Costs
Double room supplement (Hotel option): 10 EUR/person/day
Single room supplement (Hotel option): 20 EUR/person/day
INCLUDED BY ORGANIZERS
One free participation for every 25 paying participants, an attendance certificate for each participant, and full promotion and organizational support.

EXCURSIONS
