Welcome to the International Festival ROME/ANZIO FOLKLORE NOW, where folklore groups from around the world come together to celebrate music, culture, and tradition in the heart of Italy. Performing in Rome—often called the world's largest open-air museum—is a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Festival Highlights

• Open to international folklore ensembles of all categories.
• Performance venues in breathtaking locations in Rome and Anzio.
• Experience the rich cultural heritage of the Eternal City and the coastal charm of Anzio.
• Explore famous landmarks: Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Vatican, and more.
• Enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere with beautiful beaches and delicious Italian cuisine.

Participation Details

Eligibility

• Folklore groups, dance ensembles, and cultural performance troupes.
• No age limit.

Requirements

• Each group must perform 5–15 minutes of choreography.
• Music must be submitted in MP3 format before the event.
• Confirmation of program details will be required 48 hours before final approval.

Concert Program

• Main performance: 15–20 minutes, including a piece representing the group’s national culture.
• Additional performances: 10-minute showcase for selected groups.
• Gala concert: One piece representing each group.

Application Requirements

• Completed application form.
• Brief biography of the group and conductor.
• Advertising photo of the group and conductor.
• Performance links or recordings.

Participation Fee

Full Package: €180 per person

Includes:

• 3 nights in a 3 or 4-star hotel in Anzio.
• Triple rooms (Surcharge for double rooms: €5 per person per night).
• Continental breakfast.
• Participation fees and tickets for companions.
• Organizational costs and professional assistance.
• Invitation letter.

For Groups Not Using the Package:

• Participation fee: €25 per person.
• Tickets for companions: €20 per person.

Additional Costs:

• Residence tax: €20 per person (mandatory for all participants).
• Insurance (not included in the package).
• Optional excursions.

Festival Program

Day 1 – Thursday, 03 April 2025 (Anzio)

• Arrival & Check-in at the hotel.
• Welcome walk along the beaches of Anzio.
• Free evening to explore the town’s charming streets.
• Overnight in Anzio.

Day 2 – Friday, 04 April 2025 (Anzio / Optional Rome Tour)

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Optional tour of Rome (self-guided or organized trip).
• Sightseeing opportunities:

• The Colosseum
• The Trevi Fountain
• The Spanish Steps
• Vatican City
• Pantheon
• Free time to enjoy Italian cuisine.
• Overnight in Anzio.

Day 3 – Saturday, 05 April 2025 (Anzio - Performance Day)

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Festival performances.
• Free time for relaxation and cultural exchange.
• Overnight in Anzio.

Day 4 – Sunday, 06 April 2025 (Departure)

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Check-out & departure.

Awards & Prizes

• Grand Prix: Gold-plated statuette and cash prize.
• Plaques for club directors.
• Certificates of appreciation for all participants.

Important Notice:

• Groups must submit MP3 files of their music before the festival.
• Once the choreography program is confirmed, all applied fees must be paid in full.
• Groups must pay a 10% guarantee fee upon approval, deducted from the final payment.

Additional Information

• The festival reserves all rights to performances and media content for promotional purposes.
• Groups arranging independent accommodation must pay a 4x higher participation fee.
• The organizers reserve the right to modify the schedule if necessary.
