About Budapest

Budapest, the capital of Hungary, is a dynamic city split by the majestic Danube River into Buda, with its historic charm, and Pest, a lively cultural hub. Known for its thermal baths, grand architecture, classical music, and vibrant nightlife, Budapest offers an ideal setting for an international folklore festival.

Preliminary Program

Day 1 – 3 April 2025 (Arrival in Budapest)

• After 15:00: Arrival and check-in at the hotel.
• Meeting with group leaders.
• Free time to explore Budapest.

Day 2 & 3 – 4–5 April 2025 (Festival Days)

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Free time for sightseeing and optional excursions.
• Evening performances featuring folklore groups from around the world.

Day 4 – 6 April 2025 (Departure)

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Check-out & departure.
• Option to extend stay upon request.

Participation Fee & Accommodation

3-Star Hotels:

• €129 per person (3 nights, bed & breakfast, shared rooms 1/3 or 1/2)
• Single room surcharge: €25 per night

4-Star Hotels:

• €145 per person (3 nights, bed & breakfast, shared rooms 1/2)
• Single room surcharge: €30 per night

Special Offers:

• 1 free spot per 26 participants (25 paying + 1 free)
• Bus drivers included in total group count

Application & Payment Details

• Groups must fill in an application form to participate.
• 10% guarantee fee must be paid in advance (deducted from the final payment).
• €20 per person reservation fee is required and deducted from the final payment.
• Groups must cover all bank transfer fees.
• Remaining balance can be paid via bank transfer before arrival or in cash upon arrival.
• If a group cancels less than 5 days before the festival, the reservation fee is non-refundable.

• Diplomas & souvenirs
• English-speaking festival guides

Not Included:

• Transport costs (organizers can arrange local bus transfers for an additional fee)
• Insurance
• Local transfers
• Excursions
• Beverages not included in meals
• Any other personal expenses
• Liability for damages caused by participants

Important Information

• Groups must submit a history of their group, 3–5 photos, and a video clip or performance link.
• Groups must bring their national flag & group name panel.
• Each group will have 1–2 performances, providing their own music, orchestra, or USB/CD.
• All participants must have international health insurance.
• Group leaders are responsible for ensuring participants follow hotel policies & festival rules.
• The festival organizer reserves the right to modify the program if necessary.
• By applying, groups accept all festival conditions.
• Number of seats is limited—apply early!
