INVITATION

VWith pleasure we INVITE (folk ensembles,choral groups,orchestras,brass bands, majorette teams,vocal groups,art schools..) ( youth and adult groups) to participate on   International Dance Festival in HONG KONG from  18 -24 July 2024 Hong Kong ,CHINA 

Date From 18 to 24 July 2025

• Date of arrival in Hong Kong: 18 July 2024 (Thursday)

• Date of departure from Hong Kong: 26 July 2024 (Friday)

Age Limit

All performers must be between 15 and 35 years old (born between 1989 and 2009).

2. Number of Participants

A maximum of 24 people in each dance group (including a maximum of 5 accompanying staff)

 Selection

 For diversified performances, the organizer reserves the right to select the appropriate dance groups to participate.

Confirmed Invitation Selected groups are expected to receive a confirmed invitation in the first quarter of 2024. Performances

.All dance groups will be arranged to participate in indoor and outdoor performances and a parade.

The detailed requirements for the performances are as follows:  Indoor performance (to be held at night): performance time for each dance group should not exceed 8 minutes; Outdoor performance (to be held in the evening): performance time for each dance group should not exceed 5 minutes;  Parade (to be held in the evening): the whole parade lasts for about 1.5 hours, with 2 to 3 performance spots along the route. The performance time at each spot should be no longer than 2 minutes. Costumes Dancers must wear performance costumes during formal performances. If the costumes are considered as containing political elements or failing to comply with the event arrangements, the organizer has the right to not allow the dance group to wear the costumes concerned in the formal performances without advance notice.

. Scenery and Props All dance groups must prepare their own scenery and props for their performances. If the scenery and props are considered to contain political elements or fail to comply with the event arrangements, the organizer has the right not to allow the dance group to wear the costumes concerned in the formal performances without advance notice. Relevant Activities 

Artistic Performance Workshops

The organizer will provide venues for non-local dance groups to host artistic performance workshops during the event, offering participants an opportunity to learn and exchange with each other different dance skills and show their talents. The organizer will only provide venues and basic audio equipment. Other relevant equipment or materials are to be prepared by the dance groups. Duration of each workshop: 2 hours 

Cultural Tour

The organizer will arrange a tour of local cultural attractions for the dance groups. Support from the Organiser

. Transport (by air) 12.1 Each dance group is responsible for its own travel arrangements and expenses to and from Hong Kong.

The organizer will provide local transport for all dance groups’ participation in the activities arranged by the organizer during the event. 

Accommodation The organizer is responsible for non-local dance groups’ accommodation arrangements and expenses from 18 to 26 July 2025 (8 nights in total), with 2-4 participants accommodated in the same room.

Meals The organizer is responsible for meal arrangements for all members of the dance groups during the eight-day event (the arrival day and the departure day are counted together as one day). 

Insurance All participants must purchase personal travel and medical insurance by themselves. The organizer is only responsible for purchasing medical insurance for dance group members to cover the medical expenses incurred from accidents that occur during their participation in the activities arranged by the organizer.

Dance Groups Must: 

Perform according to the arranged programs; additions, omissions, or changes are not allowed to be made to the programs. 

Attend all relevant activities arranged by the organizer.

. Not leave the country during the event; otherwise, the dance group concerned will be responsible for all possible consequences. 

Follow the arrangements and instructions from the staff of the organizer.

. Be punctual for all activities; late arrival or early leave is not allowed.

Refrain from organizing any public political or religious activities during the event.

Cooperate with the organizer in making the event a success.

Rights of the Festival 

Film and photograph the performances of all dance groups and related activities and publish relevant materials.  Cancel or change the event schedule or programs if necessary. The group should pay only 25 euro per person for registration fee.
