XX International Festival for Dance & Songs “POSTCARD FROM MONTENEGRO”

INVITATION
With pleasure we INVITE Folk Ensembles, Choral Groups, Brass Bands, Orchestras, Modern Dance Groups, and Majorette Teams (children, youth, and adult groups) participate in XX International Festival for Dance & Songs “POSTCARD FROM MONTENEGRO”, in Budva,Bar - Suto More, Montenegro.
The intention of our invitation and the Festival light motive is to present the cultural tradition of different countries and to provide an opportunity for the members of groups to get together, to establish friendships and culture presentation through dance and music.The idea of the Festival is to bring the music closer to the people and to present the music on the streets and the squares.The festival is open for folk and choir ensembles, as well as orchestras and majorettes regardless of the members gender and age.
The festival program combines unforgettable performances, parades, meetings with new friends, and invaluable international exchange. Guests will also enjoy additional activities such as a cruise on the Adriatic Sea, visits to Budva, Kotor, and Tivat, as well as evening artistic events. Participants don’t just attend a festival – they become part of an international artistic family.
The goal of “POSTCARD OF MONTENEGRO ” is to unite cultures through music and dance, to give a stage to talent, and to build new creative bridges between nations. Folk ensembles, modern dance groups, choirs, majorette teams, brass bands, and clubs can apply – with no limitations on age or number of participants.
General Rules:
- Non-competitive sample of traditional and modern dances, choral groups and majorette teams
- Every Folklore ensembles, Choral group, majorette Teams ,Orchestrabhas the right to participate.Children’s ensembles,Youth ensembles, Adult ensembles
- On the festival may participate folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups and soloists, as well as groups and performers from other art styles
- The number of participants are limited (only 3 groups from each country)
- Each group should consist of most 50 members including dancers, managers and musicians
- Ensemble should have prepared at least 2 dances, total program of 15 minutes each with orchestra or USB
- The performances will be in the evening hours so you can plan the day ahead and use it for visiting the historical part of the city
- To send us short CV and 2 – 3 photos of the group
- To take a flag of the country
- Groups should have there own transport for arrival and departure
Accommodation Cost in Budva:
135 Euro for 3 HB per person (3 nights with 2 meals per day - open buffet)
165 Euro for 4 HB per person (4 nights with 2 meals per day (Half Board)
199 Euro for 5 HB per person (5 nights with 2 meals per day (Half Board)
Hotel accommodation in Hotel 3* Lobbo and other hotels like that near the center and Slovenska plaza of 3* hotel in triple and quadriple rooms .Double room is 10 Euro per person per night Single room is 20 Euro per person per night.If you want 4* hotel we can arrange and inform you about the price.
Accommodation Cost in Bar and Suro More:
- 125 Euro for 3 HB per person (3 nights with 2 meals per day - open buffet)
- 155 Euro for 4 HB per person (4 nights with 2 meals per day (Half Board)
- 189 Euro for 5 HB per person (5 nights with 2 meals per day (Half Board)
Double room is 10 Euro per person per night ,Single room is 20 Euro per person per night
It covers hotel accommodation in hotels like Hotel Lovcen in Suto More, Costelo, hotel Adria in Bar, Hotel Montenegro in Canj.
For drivers and leaders will be accommodated in double rooms and other double rooms are additional 10 euro per day per person, additional lunch is 16 euro per person per day.
On your request, You can continue your stay in Baudva or Bar &Suto More
Price will be 34 Euro per day per person HB
Price is special for the participants in festivals that we can provide.
Festival organizers provide:
- for 25 dancers – one gratis
- souvenir and gift for each group
- Certificate for attendance
- Welcome meeting for leaders with drinks
- drinks during the performance
- advertising of the festival (press release, social media promotion, posters and flayers)
- Tourist tax and insurance is 1.5 euro per day per person and it is additional payment.
Free parking
Insurance: Personal responsibility and health insurance are within the other obligations of the groups. First Aid and Medical Hospital will be available, medical services must be covered by the group
Transportation: for groups who are coming by plane, we can arrange transport from (Tivat or Podgorica airport) to Budva. (Paid additionally).

COMMUNICATION STEPS
Step 1 — Apply Fill out the online application form with your group details.
Step 2 — Confirmation You’ll instantly receive an email confirming we got your application.
Step 3 — Application Number Within 2 days you’ll receive your Application Number and required materials list.
Step 4 — Review: WOFA reviews your application and checks availability.
Step 5 — Acceptance: If accepted, you’ll receive an Invitation Letter and deposit instructions.
Deposit must be paid within 10 days.
Step 6 — Secure Your Spot: Send us your deposit confirmation. Your participation is officially confirmed.
Step 7 — Finalization: A WOFA coordinator will guide you through the final steps: participant list, travel details, and performance info.

NEWS FROM THE FESTIVAL Published on 20.07.2025
From 11-15 July 2025 in Bar was held XX International Festival for Dance & Songs “POSTCARD FROM MONTENEGRO”,with great success.
At the festival over 300 participants from Slovakia, Poland, and the USA
On the welcome reception with the leaders of the groups on 11 July director of the festival Mr Zoran Strezovski wished them welcome in the beautiful city and explained the detailed program.
On 14 July festival evening was held on the stage of the city of Bar where all ensembles had their performances. Organizers of the festivals were WOFA - World Festival Association
In 2023 the festival had over 250 participants and 6 ensembles from 4 EU countries..
NUMBER OF SEATS IS LIMITED on 300 participants and 8 ensembles!!
