 With pleasure We INVITE you (folk ensembles, modern dance groups, Choral groups, orchestras, brass bands, majorette teams), (children, youth and adults groups) to participate on  XX International  Music & Folk - Dance festival “CRIKVENICA FEST”  07  - 11 September, Crikvenica - Selce-Rijeka,CROATIA 2024 

Crikvenica is famous seaside tourist place in Kvarner region in Croatia. Many tourist from Europe come to Crikvenica on their summer holiday. It is city with crystal sea water and sands beach.

Idea of the festival is to show different stiles of culture and art in this beautiful place in Croatia. The festival is supported by Tourist organization in Crikvenica.

Rules and conditions for participation:

• In the festival can participate folklore groups, vocal groups, orchestras, majorettes, modern dance groups, choirs and music bands from all over the world.
• Ensemble should have prepared program duration from 12-15 minutes with USB or orchestra.
• Groups should take a flag of their country.
• The number of the participants is limited.
• Groups have to send us short CV and photos of the group by e-mail.
• Twenty days before the festival each group should send the list of participants, name/ surname, sex, date of birth and passport number.
• All groups should have their own transport for arrival and departure.
• Groups arriving by plane - the festival committee can arrange their transfers and inform them how much it will cost.

Festival program:

Day 1

13.00 collectives arrive in Crikvenica, hotel accommodation and free time

18.00 – 20.00 Dinner in hotel (buffet)

21.00 Welcome drinks and meeting with the leaders of the groups in hotel

Day 2

07.00 – 10.00 Breakfast (buffet)

10.00 – 15.00 Crikvenica sightseeing and time on the beach

18.30 – 20.00 Dinner in hotel (buffet)

20.30 Defile in the center of Crikvenica

21.00 Official festival evening (on the open area in the stage of Crikvenica)

Day 3

07.00 – 10.00 Breakfast (buffet)

10.00 – 18.00 Excursions Pltvicke jezera (Lake) – it is wonderfull place in Croatia

18.00 – 20.00 Dinner in hotel (buffet)

21.00 Party in hotel or you can go to Crikvenica - nice restaurants, buy souvenirs… 

Day 4

7.00 – 10.00 Breakfast (buffet)

10.00 – 16.00 Excursion to island Krk and boat trip to island with swimming on the beach

19.00 – 20.00 Dinner in hotel (buffet)

21.00 Closing ceremony of the festival, party with all groups, exchange presents between leaders of ensembles

Day 5

7.00 – 10.00 Breakfast

12.00 Departure

Participation fee:

• 127 Euro per person for 3 HB (3 nights with 2 meals per day – meals are open buffet)
• 154 Euro per person for 4 HB (4 nights with 2 meals per day – meals are open buffet)
• Price include accommodation in Tourist resort Uvala Scott with 2 meals per day in superior rooms (it has own beach) in triple rooms - https://www.jadran-hoteli.hr/uvalascott.
• Addition day can be booked for 42 Euro per person per day with half board service.
• Groups of 25 people: One group leader free of charge!
• If you wish we can arrange accommodation in other hotels with higher categorization and inform you about price...superior room 6 euro extra payment..

      Double    rooms are additional 12 euro per person per day…single room 19 euro per person per day.. .   additional lunch or dinner is 20 euro per person including drinks ..

           Facultative excursions are not include in the price

Festival organizers provide:

-         for 25 dancers – one gratis,

-         Certificate for attendance,

-         souvenir and gift for each group,

- drinks during performance,

-         Free parking

-     advertising of the festival (press release,Social media promotion, posters and flayers).

 INSURANCE: 

Personal responsibility and health insurance are within the other obligations of the groups. First Aid and Medical Hospital will be available, medical services must be covered by the group.

On your request,  You can continue your stay in Crikvenica. Price will be 44 Euro per day per person HB – price is special for the participants in festivals that we can provide.

Tourist tax is additional paymant and it is 2,0 euro per person per day.

. After the festival finish organizers will send you link of the festival where you can take the photos and videos from the fetsival.

  The festival will organize the transport for the groups coming by plane by Zagreb airport or Rijeka airport and  picking them up from airport, during the festival days and back to airport. The cost of the transportation will be covered by the group and will be additionally agreed according to their number. Payment can be done on several parts.

By applying you confirm that you accept all festival conditions. All detailed information  will be supply after your confirmation for participations.

NEWS ABOUT THE FESTIVAL                                               

MORE THAN 600 PARTICIPANTS TOOK PART IN "KVARNER FEST" IN CROATIA

 On the fetsival were participated 18 groups, 600 participants from Lithuania,Poland,Portugal,Italy, Romania, Cezh Republic, ,Bulgaria..

On the welcome reception with leaders of the group on 25 august director of the festival Mr.Zoran Strezovski, wish them welcome in Crikvenica, wonderfull tourist place in Croatia ...

On 26 and 27 august were two festival evenings on the squere in Selce where all groups presents there culture...On 28 august they have oportunety to watch "Fish Week" event in Crikvenica with a lot of music and fish testing...During the days they have oportunety to swimming in adriatic sea, to visit National Park Plitvic Lakes, visit island Krk by boat and enjoy in beauties of Crikvenica.

 15 GROUPS FROM 8 COUNTRIES PARTICIPATED IN THE "KVARNER FEST"

The Internatinal Music Dance Folklore Festival "Kvarner Fest" was held in the period August  26-30 in Crikvenica (Croatia). 15 groups with more than 600 participants from Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and Bulgaria took part it in. 

Director of the festival, Zoran Strezovski welcomed the artistic directors and wished all of the groups successful participation in the festival and nice stay in Croatia. All the groups presented their culture in the both festival evenings which were held on 27th and 29th of August on Selce square. 

"At the second festival evening we had surprise from Polish group when one boy asked his girlfriend for marriage in front of all audience in Selce. On 28th August they had opportunity to watch "Fish Week" event in Crikvenica with a lot of music and fish testing.", said the director of the festival.

12 ENSEMBLES FROM 9 COUNTRIES TOOK PART IN THE SUMMER FESTIVAL IN CRIKVENICA (CROATIA)

12 ensembles from 9 European countries - Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova took part in the International "Kvarner Summer Festival". Third edition of folklore dance and vocal event was held in the period August 24 - 28 in Croatia. The director of the festival is Zoran Strezovski. 

"On August 24 a welcome reception was held with leaders of the group where director of the festival wish welcomed them in Crikvenica festivals. On August 25  festival evening was held - presentation of the groups on Kacjak where all groups presented there costumes and dances. On August 26 festival evenings were held on the square Selce in Crikvenica where director gave the participants certificates and presents at the stage.", said Zoran Strezovski.
"During other days they had wonderful time for swimming on crystal water of the sea, enjoyed the beach and visited Plitvic Lakes, Rijeka. Than they had a boat trip to the island of Krk." added the director.
