   I N V I T A T I O N

 With pleasure we INVITE you (folk groups, Choral groups and orchestras majorette teams), (children, youth and adults groups) to participate on  International  MUSIC & DANCE festival and competition ART FOLK FEST   25 -30 june Kobuleti,Batumi, Georgia

Goal of the festival:development of folklore arts; popularization of the world folklore culture; sharing of experience between participants; empowerment of mutual respect and tolerance; deepening of creative contacts; popularization of Georgian and world folklore arts; improvement of the level of qualification of choreographers.

 

Participants:

Folklore groups from different countries of the world and different regions of Georgia (ages not limited) take part in the Festival.

 

Participants present two shows (3-5 minutes each) in the following nominations:

•    folklore dances, folklore songs (ensembles and individual);

•    songs and romances;

•    folklore handcraft arts (exhibitions).

In the final conclusive concert participating artists will present only one show.

Music can be live or phonogram.

 

With the application Festival participants submit their program (audio, video files of their previous shows, materials necessary to be published in the newspaper and Festival booklet).

Festival participants will be awarded with the Festival Laureate Diplomas and different presents.

Age category:

  • Unlimited

Festival Agenda: The Final Agenda of the Festival will be finalized one month ahead of the Festival.

 Participation fee:

Festival and Contest Participation fee: according to self-funding principle each foreign participating groups pay the following fee per participant of their group: 

  • 275 Euro per person – 6 days/5 nights – 1 level accommodation n (2,3 and 4-bed rooms), meals 3 times a day; free transportation to the concert venue; 
  • 375 Euro per person – 6 days/5 nights – 2 level accommodation (2, 3 and 4-bed rooms), meals 3 times a day;free transportation in concert venue; 

-  on every 16 participant - 1 is free

* Supplement for double room - 5 Еuro per day per person.
* Supplement for single room - 10 Еuro per day per person.

Participation fee does not include:

  • Additional day in the hotels: 25, 30, 35 euro per person per day (depending on the category of service selected); 
  • Optional tours; 
  • International Transport, insurance; 

Any group, willing to participate, must submit an Application form.
Approved groups pay in advance a 10% guarantee fee, which is to be deducted at the final payment.

NEWS ABOUT THE FESTIVAL                                Published on 24 July 2019

Both phases of the International Festival "Art Folk Fest - Summer 2019" were held successfully in the period 19-28 June 2019 and 15-24 July 2019.

More than 2000 performers, including participants from 8 foreign countries, performed in the 6 concerts organized within the International Festival.

The Traditional Forum was organized by the Art-Folk Union for Development of Culture and Arts. Besides the Georgian dance groups participating in “Art-Folk Fest 2019”, there were vocal, dance and musical groups from Israel, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Ukraine, Russia and Armenia. During the two festival phases, the concerts were held in the Kobuleti Outdoor Music Center, Batumi Arts Center and Batumi Summer Theater.

On 25 June at the Historical Fortress “Anaklia” was organized a joint concert between “Art-Folk Fest” and “Art-Kolkhi Folklore Festival”. Before the start of the event, the Mayor of Zugdidi - George Schengelia, welcomed the foreign participants.

Thanks to the support of the Ajarian State Ensemble for Songs and Dances “Arsiani”, the international groups of the festival had the opportunity to watch the rehearsal of the State Ensemble and take part in the master class.

International participants enjoyed excursions to Georgia's largest landmarks. The festival was held in a very friendly and professional atmosphere. The guests were delighted with the Georgian hospitality.
