About Budapest
Budapest, the capital of Hungary, is a dynamic city split by the majestic Danube River into Buda, with its historic charm, and Pest, a lively cultural hub. Known for its thermal baths, grand architecture, classical music, and vibrant nightlife, Budapest offers an ideal setting for an international choir festival.
Participants
- Mixed choirs
- Female and male choirs
- Ages 16+
Rules & Criteria
- The festival is non-competitive.
- No limit on the number of singers per choir.
- The organizers reserve the right to limit the number of choirs due to capacity.
- Choirs should prepare a 30-minute program, including at least one composition from their country of origin.
- Repertoire can include secular and sacred compositions.
- Each choir will have 1–2 performances, depending on the number of participating choirs.
- At the festival’s closing, all choirs will join in singing the Festival Hymn selected by the organizers.
Preliminary Program
Day 1 – 27 November 2025 (Arrival in Budapest)
- After 15:00: Arrival and check-in at the hotel.
- Meeting with group leaders.
- Free time to explore Budapest.
Day 2 & 3 – 28–29 November 2025 (Festival Days)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Free time for sightseeing and optional excursions.
- Evening performances featuring choirs from around the world.
Day 4 – 30 November 2025 (Departure)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Check-out & departure.
- Option to extend stay upon request.
Participation Fee & Accommodation
3-Star Hotels (Bed & Breakfast)
- €129 per person (3 nights, shared rooms 1/3 or 1/2)
- Single room surcharge: €30 per night
4-Star Hotels (Bed & Breakfast)
- €145 per person (3 nights, shared rooms 1/2 or 1/3)
- Single room surcharge: €35 per night
Special Offers:
- 1 free spot per 26 participants (25 paying + 1 free)
- Bus drivers included in total group count
Application & Payment Details
- Groups must fill in an application form to participate.
- 10% guarantee fee must be paid in advance (deducted from the final payment).
- €30 per person reservation fee is required and deducted from the final payment.
- Groups must cover all bank transfer fees.
- Remaining balance can be paid via bank transfer before arrival or in cash upon arrival.
- If a group cancels less than 5 days before the festival, the reservation fee is non-refundable.

Important Information
- Choirs must submit a history of their group, 3–5 photos, and a video clip or performance link.
- Each choir must bring their national flag & group name panel.
- All participants must have international health insurance.
- Group leaders are responsible for ensuring participants follow hotel policies & festival rules.
- The festival organizer reserves the right to modify the program if necessary.
- By applying, choirs accept all festival conditions.

NEWS ABOUT THE FESTIVAL Published on 30.11.2019
SUCCESSFUL EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL CHORAL FESTIVAL IN BUDAPEST
International Choral Festival in Budapest which was held from 28th November to 1st December 2019 gathered together 150 performers from Greece and Bulgaria.
Choirs took part in two concerts on 29th and 30th of November. In the last concert of the International Choral Festival in Budapest, all the choirs sang together the anthem of the festival, they received certificates for participation and exchanged gifts between each other.
Participants had the opportunity to visit the sights of the Hungarian capital and to experience a boat trip in the Danube river.
