                                          I N V I T A T I O N

India is one of the oldest civilizations in the world with a kaleidoscopic variety and rich cultural heritage. It has achieved all-round socio-economic progress since Independence. As the 7th largest country in the world, India stands apart from the rest of Asia, marked off as it is by mountains and the sea, which give the country a distinct geographical entity. Bounded by the Great Himalayas in the north, it stretches southwards and at the Tropic of Cancer, tapers off into the Indian Ocean between the Bay of Bengal on the east and the Arabian Sea on the west. 

It is to inform you that we are organising Folklore Festival virtually at the social media channels of Chandigarh group of colleges, India. We are inviting 30+ countries who are going to present their culture, talent and passion in form of singing, Dancing, Playing Music Instrument etc. The participants will get the recognised digital certificates from Chandigarh group of colleges, India along with chance to represent their culture in India.

Categories:

1. Dance (solo or group dance)

2. Singing (solo or group)

3. Poetry

Participation fee:

FREE OF COST (NO particiption fee )

Conditions for participation:

For group dance there is time limit 8 to 15 minutes per group.

Individual performer or group from all over the world can take part in this festival

There should not be any vulgarity and unethical words to be used.

The participants has to elect one leader out of his/her dance group who will greet in their language and say few words about their performance

For singing there is time limit of 5 to 8 minutes each.

Participants have to arrange their own dresses and props.

This is virtual event so each group has to pre record their dance /singing video and send it via email or google drive

Requirements for video files:

- Amateur and professional videos taken no more than 2 years ago are accepted.

- For non-professional recordings, use your camera's highest resolution and shoot horizontally with a tripod. Group performances must be filmed in a general plan. Before submitting the recording, check if it has audio or video defects. Recommended video format .mp4 - 8 MB, HD.

- It is allowed to use videos filmed during festivals from the system of EAFF or other competitions and concerts.

- In the title of the video file, write the title of the work and the name of the group; for individual performers - title of the work and surname of the participant.

Awards:

Participation certificates will be sent to all participants by email.

 

SPECIAL TERMS:

By submitting the application, the Participants agree that photo and video materials with their participation will be stored in the archives and used by the organizers in the production of various information and television products in whole or in part as well as publication on the EAFF website and / or in social networks for the purpose of popularization and development of the ‘Folk Carnival in India”   as well as provide the copyright and / or related rights on the performed work, participating in the competition.

The event will be broadcasted at Instagram, Facebook and YouTube channel of Chandigarh group of colleges,Jhanjeri India and there will be 10,000+ viewers.

NEWS ABOUT FESTIVAL

The International Folk Carnival in India will be held through the social media channels of the group of colleges in Chandigarh, presenting its program online to more than 10,000 viewers.

The organizers of the virtual forum provide an opportunity for participants from more than 30 countries, inviting them to highlight the beauty of their culture and talent - singing, dancing, playing musical instruments and more.

On April 5, 2021, the virtual event will connect artists from around the world with one of the most amazing countries, characterized by kaleidoscopic diversity and rich cultural heritage.

In addition to the chance to present their traditions in a forum born of the vast wealth of languages, foods, spices, flavors and religions, performers will also receive digital certificates issued by the group of colleges in Chandigarh, India.
