The International Folk Dance Festival “Adriatic Pearl” will be held for the 1st time in Čanj, Montenegro from 26th August till 31st of August 2021.

Montenegro is located in Southeastern Europe, in the Balkan Peninsula. Montenegrin cities, interwoven with architecture of various periods, are breathtaking and return for a moment to the time when they were created. The sea, lakes, canyons, mountains make it possible for everyone to find the best way to have a good rest. In one day, you can enjoy your morning coffee on one of the many beaches of the Budva Riviera, lunch with a bird song on Lake Skadar and dinner by the hearth on the slopes of the magnificent Durmitor Mountain.

All this distinguishes Montenegro as a tourist destination with a lot to offer. The turbulent history of this small country has left behind a treasure that is reflected in historic monuments across the country. The blue sea with its vast beaches, the unruffled waters of the clear rivers and the beautiful mountain massifs have provided Montenegro with everything you need for an unforgettable vacation. Montenegro is an ecological state. This fact occupies the primary place on tourist maps. Čanj is a resort located between Bar and Petrovac. It is known for its beautiful pebbly beach, which extends about 1,200 m in length, which has been given the epitome of Pearl Coast because of its shiny sand. Warm sea, sandy beach, pleasant Mediterranean climate, blue sea and sky, parks, cleanliness, traffic ban in the village, cultural events and entertainment made Čanj one of the favorite tourist destinations on the Montenegrin Riviera. Because of the beauty of the pebbles it covered, the beach was named Pearl Coast. Isolated from major roads, it offers conditions for a comfortable and safe holiday.

General Conditions

The International folk dance festival “Adriatic Pearl” is a non-competitive sample of traditional dances performed by folklore groups, as well as groups and performers from other art styles with minimum 10 persons on the stage.

During the festival each group will have at least 2 performances, one in Čanj and the other on one of the summer stages in one of the most beautiful tourist places in Montenegro.. According to the festival program the Groups will perform about 10 minutes either with live music or USB and should have flag and sign with the name of the group for the defile. After the last performance there will be exchange of presents and diplomas.

Note: All groups need to send their music 30 days before festival!

All program activities and performances will be held in the evening hours with short parades so every day is free for participants to use the sandy beach or visit some of the tourist attractions.

The Festival organization can organize the following excursions:

- Aquapark Budva, full day adventure for all those who love to have fun in the water at the sunny coast of southern Adriatic

- Boat trip – visiting the most famous beaches on the Riviera and the Blue Cave

- Sightseeing of old town Budva and Tivat with guide

- Guided Tour to Dubrovnik

- Kotor, a town of merchants and famous sailors. Medieval architecture and numerous monuments of cultural heritage have included Kotor on UNESCO's list of "World Natural and Cultural Heritage"

- National parks: Durmitor, Biogradska Gora , Prokletije - Lovćen , Lake Skadar

Detailed Excursions list will be given to you 1 month before the festival.

ACCOMMODATION

The accommodation of the groups will be in Hotel “Zlatibor” in Čanj, approximately 250m from the beach. The Groups will be accommodated in rooms with 3 and 4 beds with their own bathroom. Each Group can have only 2 double rooms which can be used for the Leaders and Drivers. For any extra double room the group should pay extra 12,5 euro/per person/per day.

Usage of the beach is free of charge except the umbrellas and sunbeds which costs according to the pricelist on the beach.

NOTE:The Groups must send the rooming list by end of June. Groups that do not send, the rooming list will be made by festival and can’t be any changes upon arrival.

The Festival fee is

155€ per person for HB basis (breakfast and dinner on buffet basis).

On every 25 participants, one member (26.) is free of charge.

Additional meal ( lunch on buffet basis) is 5,90 eur.

If the group shows interest in extending the stay the organizers should be informed during the application process (the price for extra night for HB basis is 30 euro per person).

Participation fee can be paid via bank transfer or in cash on the day of arrival. Each participant group should pay 30% in advance after receiving the official invitation.

Attention: City tax is included in festival fee.

TRANSPORT AND TRAVEL CONDITIONS

The groups should pay the travel expenses by themselves to Čanj and back. The groups coming by bus should use their own transport all the time during the festival. The Organizers can organize the transport for the groups coming by plane. The cost of the transportation will be covered by the group and will be additionally agreed according to their number.

Parking for buses (during your stay) is free of charge on the parking place of the Hotel!

The groups have to arrive in Čanj on 26th of August after 13:00 (starting with dinner), if you pay for lunch you will start with lunch, and leave on 31st of August 2021 after having breakfast and leave the rooms till 10:00.

The number of groups is limited. Therefore we will appreciate if you can send us your application by 22nd June 2021.

The organizer reserves the right for changes in the program, and the participants will be informed on time. The copy right of all video materials and pictures are ownership of the Organization of the Festival. By applying you confirm that you accept all festival conditions.

On the way to Čanj or on the way back home we can organize one night stay in some of the famous European cities by your choice so you can visit the city attractions
