 Varna – the Sea Capital of Bulgaria!

Varna – the Sea Capital of Bulgaria! Apart from being a beach resort, Varna rivals the great cities of Sofia and Plovdiv, in its offering of cultural attractions and historical buildings, museums and art galleries. Today Varna is the largest city on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast and is the main port for both naval and commercial ship ping. Because it is a close neighbor to the popular coastal resorts of Golden Sands, St. Constantine & Helena, and Albena, Varna has a cosmopolitan atmosphere. Varna is also the host city of numerous prestigious cultural events.

Dolphinaruim - It is the only dolphinarium on the Balkan Peninsula and it is one of the greatest attractions that Varna can offer to its guests. The show lasts 40 minutes. The visitors will enjoy the incredible intelligence and playfulness of the sea mammals. A curious fact is that in 1992 a baby-dolphin was born in the Dolphinarium in Varna. The event was a sign that the animals feel at home in their surrounding.

 General Rules

The International Festival of dance and songs “Golden days” is a non-competitive sample of traditional and modern dances and music performed by folkloric groups. On the festival may participate children and youth folklore dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups, as well as groups and performers from other art styles.

During the Festival each group will have at least two performances in Varna and its area according to the program of the festival. Groups should bring flag and a sign with the name of the group for the Defile. According to the number of the participants we will let you know about the minutes of your performance.

 NOTE: Each group must send us their dancing music by email, 10 days before the festival starts.

 All program activities and performances will be held at evening hours so every day is free for participants to use the sandy beach or visit some of the tourist attractions.

The Festival Organization can organize several excursions:

- Archeological museums (the Navy Museum, the Museum of Natural History)

- Delphinium,

- Sea Garden,

- Water Park,

- Monasteries

 The expenses for the excursions (tickets and transport) should be covered by the participants.

Accommodation

The accommodation is in a 3*** Hotels located approximately 300 meters from the beach and away from the noise of the big tourist resorts, combined with beautiful nature, calmness, tranquil and warm sea.

The Groups will be accommodated in rooms with 3 beds and 4 beds on a full board basis. Only 2 double rooms are available per group which can be used for the Leaders and drivers. For any extra double room, the group should pay extra 5 euro/person/day and for a single room additional 20 euro per day. 

 NOTE: The Groups must send the rooming list by end of May. Groups that do not send, the rooming list will be made by festival and can’t be any changes upon arrival.

 The Festival fee is:

 - 150 euro per person, 4 nights with 3 meals per day accommodation in a 3*/4* Hotel 

- 175 euro per person, 5 nights with 3 meals per day accommodation in a 3*/4* Hotel 

It covers:

- organizational expenses,

- On every 20 participants, one member is free of charge.

- Tourist tax

- 2 festival evenings

Detailed Festival Program will be given to you 1 month before the start of the festival.

The organizer reserves the right to any changes in the program, and the participants will be informed on time. By applying you confirm that you accept all festival conditions!

If the group shows interest in extending the stay the organizers should be informed during the application process (the price for extra night on full board basis is 33 euro per person).

Participation fee can be paid via bank transfer or in cash on the day of arrival. Advance payment of 30% should be made after receiving the official invitation. After this date (17.06.) advance payment are NOT refunded.

 Transport and Travel Conditions

The groups should pay the travel expenses by themselves to Varna and back. The groups coming by bus should use their own transport all the time during the festival.

The Organizers can organize the transport for the groups coming by plane by picking them up from Varna airport, during the festival days and back to the same Varna airport. The cost of the transportation will be covered by the group and will be additionally agreed according to their number.

 The participant group has to arrive in Varna on 04 of July 2023 (starting with lunch) and leave on 09th of July 2023 after having breakfast and leave the rooms till 10:00h.

 The number of participants is limited. Therefore, we will appreciate if you can send us your application by 30 April 2023. After receiving your application we will send you the official invitation for participating on the Festival. We will also assist you in obtaining visa for Bulgaria if necessary. Each member must have travel insurance policy.

The organizer reserves the right to any changes in the program, and the participants will be informed on time. The copy right of all video materials and pictures are ownership of the Organization of the Festival. By applying you confirm that you accept all festival conditions.

Every Group will be rewarded with a Certificate for attending on the Festival
