    With pleasure we INVITE you (Folk ensembles, Choral groups,Brass bands, orchestras, modern dance group, majorette teams, art schools, ballroom and modern dance groups), (children, youth and adults groups) to participate on  International  music & Folk - dance festival “WELNESS FEST ” from 01- 05 August, PODČETRTEK ,SLOVENIA  2024

    The Festival light motive is to present the cultural tradition of different countries and to provide an opportunity for the members of groups to get together, to establish friendships and culture presentation trough dance and music.

Slovenia is the first country in the world to be declared a green destination based on the Green Destinations Criteria. Situated in the heart of Europe, Slovenia is a boutique country between the Alps, Mediterranean Sea, mysterious Karst with more than 11,000 karst caves and Pannonian Plain, rich in healthy water springs. Slovenia's capital – Ljubljana, was awarded the European Green Capital 2016 title. Welcome to Slovenia, the only country with the word LOVE in its name!

Podčetrtek is a small slovenian city, close to the well-known Terma Olimia.

In the category of smaller towns, Podčetrtek got a gold medal at Entente Florale Europe. It is characterized by its extraordinary cultural wealth, intact nature, diverse tourist offer and friendly people.

The region of “counts and vagabonds” is marked by vineyards and forests and since 2010 the Kozjansko region along with Obsotelje has been classified as a UNESCO biosphere reservation. The Kozjansko or Srednje Sotelsko region is a hilly region in the Bistrica river basin that borders the picturesque river Sotla on the east; the northern border is marked by the Plešivec and Žusem hills, and the southern border by the Bohor and Orlica hills.

PROGRAM:

Day 1

12.00  Arrival at Podcetrtek Accomodation and

13.00 – 15.00 Lunch in the hotel.

Free time for activities in one of the best and luxurious wellness centre in Slovenia - Wellnes centre Termalia ( wellness activities are included in price ),  18.00 – 20.00 dinner

20.30 welcome party for participating groups

Day 2,

08.00 – 10.00 Breakfast in hotel, free time for wellness activities OR visiting nearest slovenian cities ( ROGASKA SLATINA – 10km, CELJE – 30km, , BREZICE – 35km, PTUJ – 35km, MARIBOR – 50km, LJUBLJANA – 110km ),

14.00 -15.00 lunch in hotel and  free time for wellness activities,

18.00 – 19.00 dinner.

 19.30 Festival evening  ( about 15 minutes per group )

Day 3,

08.00 – 10.00 Breakfast in hotel, , free time for wellness OR  optional excursion with guide (extra charge ) : 10.00 entry to the road train 10.15 visiting Minorite Monastery of Olimje and degustation of ‘’patros drops’’11.30 visiting unique chocolate boutique Syncerus, 12.30  visiting unique brewery Haler, degustation of beer and home-made sausage, or visiting winery and degustation of 4 different type of wine and cheese, or visiting  JELENOV GREBEN (sightseeing and feeding of the deer, visiting deer shop and tasting home made products )

 14.00 -15.00 return to Terme Olimia and Lunchand free time for wellness activities.

18.00-20.00 Dinner in hotel

21.00 Closing ceremony of the festival, plaque and diploma award, exchange of the presents between the groups and the organizers. 

Day 4

08.00 – 10.00 Breakfast at the hotel, departure of the groups

Price: 145 € per person

 Festival organizers provide:

- for 25 dancers – one gratis,

- souvenir and gift for each group,

- certificates for attendance on the festival,

- all-day free use of wellness activities in thermal pools in the best Slovenian Wellness Center  Termalia Olimia for all days of your stay,

- drinks during the performance,

- free bus parking

- advertising of the festival (press release, social media promotios,, posters.

NOTE: Tourist tax in Slovenia - 2,5€ per person/day for adults,Tourist tax in Slovenia – 1,25€ per person/day for person younger than 18 years

INSURANCE:

Personal responsibility and health insurance are within the other obligations of the groups. First Aid and Medical Hospital will be available, medical services must be covered by the group.

On your request, You can continue your stay in welness city . Price will be 44 Euro per day per person HB – price is special for the participants in festivals that we can provide. For additional days we will prepare special program for you.

After Groups arrived in Hotel will be given detailed program of the festival.

The festival will organize the transport for the groups coming by plane by picking them up from Ljubljana airport, during the festival days and back to the same airport. The cost of the transportation will be covered by the group and will be additionally agreed according to their number. We will also assist you in obtaining visa for Slovenia if necessary. 

All detailed information will be supply after your confirmation for participations.

 WOFA - World Festival Association organized wonderful festival in Slovenia 14 - 17 November 2019

International music &folk -dance festival “Welness Fest” was held with great success in Terme Olimia in Podcetrtek, Slovenia from 14-17 November 2019
Festival was organized by WOFA - World Festival Association- office in Slovenia and Terme Olimia...
Festival evening was held on the square in Terme...after performances they receive sertificates and presents from organizer..
During the days participants enjoy to the swimming pools with thermal water or visit Zagreb city or Ljubljana city..
On the festival were present the President of Wofa and Vice - President Mr Ales Breznikar and Mr Zoran Strezovski wish Welcome to Slovenia to the ensembles..
