Welcome to Delhi, City of Djinns:

Delhi is the capital territory of India. Delhi is the largest commercial centre in northern India. The National Capital Territory of Delhi has its own Legislative Assembly, Lieutenant Governor, council of ministers and Chief Minister. The people of Delhi are referred to as Delhiites or Dilliwalas. The city is referenced in various idioms of the Northern Indo-Aryan languages.

Delhi's Culture at a Glance:
The Archaeological Survey of India recognizes 1200 heritage buildings and 175 monuments as national heritage sites. In the Old City, the Mughals and the Turkic rulers constructed several architecturally significant buildings, such as the Jama Masjid – India's largest mosque and the Red Fort. Three World Heritage Sites – the Red Fort, Qutab Minar and Humayun's Tomb – are located in Delhi. Other monuments include the India Gate, the Jantar Mantar – an 18th-century astronomical observatory – and the Purana Qila – a 16th-century fortress.

Admission to the Festival:

Festival has two participation categories:
  1. Festival Participant (Mandatory/ Compulsory)
  2. Festival Competitor (Optional)

NOTE: ** The Festival Participants only can take part in the Festival Competition **

Terms & Conditions:

  • Category 1. Festival Participant (Mandatory)
Dance Styles: Festival is open to all dance and music groups of any style: Folk Dances, Theatres, Classical, Contemporary, Latin, Ball room, Street, Modern Social, Oriental, Fusion Dances, Choirs, Brass Bands, Orchestras & majorettes.
Age Category: 7 to 70+ years.
Group Members: 4+ to 40+ unlimited.
Music: Participants are allowed to perform on live or recorded music.
Travel: Flight Tickets round trip and the Travel Health insurance should be at the Group’s Expense.
Accommodation: Each group should choose the accommodation packages listed below in this section accordingly 3*/4* hotels will be provided.

Performance: The Groups should perform 4 different dance items with 10/ 15 minutes slots each 1 or 2 times a day at provided venues.

  • Category 2. Festival Competitor (Optional)
It is mandatory that only the Festival Participants can take part in the festival Competition too where they need to pay extra competition participation fee.
Group Members should be of minimum 10 members to no limit.
Performance: Competitor Groups should perform 5 min dance item
Competitor Participation fees: 100 Euro per Group

Winners Cash prizes:

Groups Category: 500 Euro, 200 Euro, 100 Euro along with Trophies and Diplomas.

Jury:

• The Jury evaluates the participants in accordance with the regulations. The jury consists of 3 highly skilled professional, jury’s decision will be considered as the final verdict for the competition.
• At Jury’s decision competition holds surprise additional silver and bronze medals with the relevant diplomas in choreographies & costumes.

Haridwar & Rishikesh Tour: 2 days/ 1 night
Jaipur Tour: 3 days/ 2 nights
Gujarat Tour: 5 days/ 4 nights

NOTE: Festival organization take the full responsibility of the group by providing the official invitation. Festival will receive the group on arrival from the Delhi - Indira Gandhi International Airport-DEL and will escort the groups to the Boarding sections of the DEL Intl Airport on departures from INDIA. Groups can not engage themselves with any other Tour operator while in India on Organizers invitation.
 
Any group willing to participate must submit an Application form.

GROUPS FROM 8 COUNTRIES TOOK PART IN THE 4TH EDITION OF THE ETHNO FOLK FESTIVAL IN INDIA

200 international participants  from Russia, Portugal, Mexico, Lithuania, Indonesia, Poland, South Korea and 250 folklore performers from India took part in the IV International ethnic Folklore Festival (New Delhi), India.International Folklore Festival is characterized by the unique format of the event, variety of folklore and performing features of dances, from all corners of the Globe, openness to the new, combination of entertainment and high artistic level of participants’ performance, where the dance and cultures of the World UNITE  in the heart of India’s Capital New Delhi.  International Ethnic Folklore Festival started its first edition in 2015, in the heart of India’s Capital & Union territory New Delhi, City of Djinns. IEFF-INDIA is the member of CIOFF – INDIA Section, Official partner of UNESCO & European Association of Folklore Festivals.  The concept of the festival-contest meets the actual world trends of folklore culture popularization. Particularly it corresponds with the initiatives of UNESCO that has called the world community to active promotion of dialog between cultures and generations through folk art.
