INVITATION

We are honored to invite you to the XI International Festival “IN HONOR OF TSAR SAMOIL” held in Ohrid, Macedonia from 3 to 6 October, 2025. This event marks the anniversary of the death of Tsar Samoil (October 6, 1014) and offers a unique opportunity to celebrate international friendship and cultural exchange through dance and music. The festival is non-competitive and is open to children, youth, and adult ensembles, including folk dance groups, modern dance groups, vocal and instrumental groups, and majorette teams.

Up to three groups per country will be accepted, with a maximum of 50 members per group. Each group should prepare two performances (10–15 minutes each), using either live music or USB. Performances take place in the evening, leaving the day open for excursions and sightseeing.

Participants must send a short CV, 2–3 group photos, and bring their national flag. Transport to and from Ohrid is the responsibility of each group.

To ensure a pleasant and memorable stay during the festival, we offer several carefully selected accommodation options. All prices include overnight stays and board, as specified.

During your stay, optional excursions will be organized for participants interested in exploring Ohrid and its surroundings.

Ohrid Cultural Tour
Visit the most iconic sites including St. Sofia Church, Samoil Fortress, the Antique Theatre, Plaošnik, St. Kaneo Church, and the Bridge of Wishes.

Ohrid Lake Cruise & St. Naum Monastery
Enjoy a peaceful boat ride to the Museum on Water and St. Naum Monastery, one of the region’s most beautiful landmarks.

Shopping in Ohrid
Stroll through Ohrid’s charming city center and discover local artisan shops and souvenirs.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

For every 25 participants, one group leader is free of charge.
Each group will receive a festival certificate, a souvenir, and refreshments during the performance.
The event is widely promoted via social media, press releases, posters, and flyers.
Photos will be made available after the festival via a shared link.

Medical services will be available during the event. Each group is responsible for its own insurance.

If arriving by plane, transport from Ohrid airport is provided free of charge. For arrivals via Skopje, Tirana, or Thessaloniki (approx. 200 km from Ohrid), assistance with transfers can be arranged. Transportation costs from these cities are covered by the group.
