 With pleasure we INVITE you (folk groups, Choral groups and orchestras majorette teams), (children, youth and adults groups) to participate on XI  International  Music & Folk - Dance festival “MONTENEGRO FEST”  19 - 24 August, Budva - Kotor - Herceg Novi, Montenegro 2021

Participants are ensembles from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Ukraine,Turkey, Serbia, Bosnia, Romania, Slovenia, Italy, Sweden, Moldavia, Armenia, Croatia, Czech, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Hungary…The Festival light motive is to present the cultural tradition of different countries and to provide an opportunity for the members of groups to get together, to establish friendships and culture presentation trough dance and music.  The idea of the Festival is to bring the music closer to the people and to present the music on the streets and the squares

 Bar is an ancient city. There is very little precise information on its origin. The claim that humans lived in this region in prehistoric, Illyrian, Greek and Roman times is confirmed by archaeological finds of significant scope and quality: remains of Neolithic material found during excavation of a well in the settlement of Cheluga an Eneolithic axe from Shushanj, the Great Grave in Shushanj, a tumulus in the village of Ravanj, various vases featuring black figures, etc. The old olive tree at Mirovica is a monument of nature that has witnessed the existence of organized settlements and the hard-working people of this region for more than 2000 years.

 General rules:

The festival is a non-competitive sample of traditional and modern dances, choral groups, brass bands, orchestras, majorette teams, ballroom dances..

-  Every Folklore ensembles, Choral group, modern dance group, brass bands, orchestras  and majorette Teams has the right to participate. Children's ensembles  (2/3 of the participants must be 16 or younger), Youth ensembles (2/3 of the participants must be 25 or younger), adult ensembles (1/3 of the participants must be older than 25).On the festival may participate folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups and soloists, as well as groups and performers from other art styles.

- The number of participants are limited (only 3  groups from each country),

- Each group should consist from 20 till 80 members including dancers, managers, musicians and family members.

- Ensemble should have prepared at least 2 dances, total program of 12-15 minutes each with orchestra or USB. The performances will be in the evening hours so you can plan the day ahead and use it for visiting the historical part of the city.

- To send us short CV, 3 photos of the group  and link of video performance,

- To take a flag of the country.

- Ensembles groups should have there own transport for arrival and departure.

- Number is limited of 10 - 12  groups and numbur of participants 450.

 

Participation fee: 

- 81 Euro per person for 3 nights half board (2 meals per day)

- 101 Euro per person for 4 nights half board (2 meals per day )

- 124 euro per person for 5 nights half board (2meals per day)

It covers hotel accommodation in HOTEL Loza, Hotel Palma, Hotel Sea Star, hotel Mona, Hotel Loza and others......in triple or quadruple rooms with 2 meals per day 

For leaders of the group and drivers will be two double rooms..for additional double rooms it is additional 5 euro day per person ( if it is availible)

NOTE: Montenegro tourist tax is 1.50 euro per person per day and it is not include in price.

- for 24 dancers – one gratis

- souvenir and gift for each group

- welcome cocktail

- certificate for attendance

- drinks during the performance

- tourist guides for sightseeing of the town

- advertising of the festival ( press release, Social media promotion, posters and flayers)

 INSURANCE:

Personal responsibility and health insurance are within the other obligations of the groups. First Aid and Medical Hospital will be available, medical services must be covered by the group.

The Festival organization can organize the following excursions:

- Aquapark Budva, full day adventure for all those who love to have fun in the water at the sunny coast of southern Adriatic

- Boat trip – visiting the most famous beaches on the Riviera and the Blue Cave

- Sightseeing of old town Budva and Tivat with guide

- Guided Tour to Dubrovnik

- Kotor, a town of merchants and famous sailors. Medieval architecture and numerous monuments of cultural heritage have included Kotor on UNESCO's list of "World Natural and Cultural Heritage"

- National parks: Durmitor, Biogradska Gora , Prokletije - Lovćen , Lake Skadar

Detailed Excursions list will be given to you 1 month before the festival.

On your request, You can continue your stay in Budva. Price will be 34 Euro per day per person HB – price is special for the participants in festivals that we can provide.

Additional meal (lunch) is possible and it is 7 euro per person per day – open buffet.

After Groups arrived in Hotel will be given detailed program of the festival. After the festival finish organizers will send you link forom the festival where you can take photos and videos from the festival.

The festival will organize the transport for the groups coming by plane by picking them up from Tivat airport, during the festival days and back to the same airport. The cost of the transportation will be covered by the group and will be additionally agreed according to their number.

By applying you confirm that you accept all festival conditions. All detailed information  will be supply after your confirmation for participations.

In 2018 on this Festival participated over 320  (children’s, youth and adults) participants from 7  countries of  Europe.

In 2019 on this Festival participated over 600  (children’s, youth and adults) participants from 18  countries of  Europe.

Number of participants is limited on 400 or 10 groups

     "MONTENEGRO FEST" COMBINED THE TRADITIONS OF 11 COUNTRIES, REPRESENTED BY 11 GROUPS AND ABOUT 500 PARTICIPANTS

XI International folklore and music  festival "MONTENGRO FEST"  was held in the period August 18 -22, 2019 in Budva, Montenegro. 11 groups from Lithuania, Slovakia, Poland,Moldova, Greece,Croatia Romania, Bulgaria,  and Ukraine with more than 500 performers attended the summer forum. 

Director of the festival, Mr Zoran Strezovski encouraged the participants with certificates and gifts for their honorable presentation. The festivals in Budva have become one of the biggest musical events connecting different cultures and traditions.

 During their spare time, performers had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful sand beaches, to visit the Old town of Budva, to experience a boat trip to the Kotor bay. Foreign participants had fun at one of the famous discos in the town.
