Beijing, the capital of the People’s Republic of China, is the nation’s political, economic and

culture center as well as a hub of transportation and international exchanges. As a world-

renowned ancient culture city, Beijing’s history as a city goes back to 3,000 years ago, and

from the mid-12 th century, it has served as the nation’s capital during different historical

periods for nearly 800 years. The venerated history has bestowed splendid culture and rich

culture relics and historical remains on Beijing, Numerous palace complexes, imperial

gardens, temples of different religions, former residences of celebrities, as well as

modernized buildings and new artificial tourist scenes add radiance and beauty to each other,

making Beijing a land pock marking with scenic spots and places of historical and culture

interest.

Currently it exists 3,550 historical monuments and culture relics in Beijing. Great Wall, Palace

Museum, Peking Man Site at Zhoukoudian, Summer Palace, Temple of heaven and Ming

Tombs were inscribed on the World Heritage List by the UNESCO. Other attractions include

Beihai, Zhongshan, and Jing-shan parks, Working People’s Palace of Culture, Ruins of

Yuanmingyuan, Mansion of Prince Gong, Yunju and Tanzhe temples, Yonghegong

Lamasery. Baiyan Taoist Temple, and so on.

Beijing International Tourism Festival is first held in 1998, hosted by Beijing Municipal

Government and Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development, is an annual activity

related to culture and tourism, which has been held for 19 times. Many nice ensembles

including Russian dance ensemble “Kristall”, Latvian dance group "Rīdze", Turkish dance

ensemble “BEFAD”, Egyptian Art Appreciation folk group, Lithuanian Folk Dance Group

“UGNELE”, Indian dance ensemble “RIFAC”, Ballet Folklórico Ciudad De Zapopan “Teocalli”

from Mexico, Russian dance ensemble "Lapushki" and Polish folk dance group “Przygoda”

etc were invited to participate in our festival last years. It is a carnival for the all participants.

The skin color and nationality are transcended here; friendship and happiness become the

only language.

We sincerely invite the most excellent art ensembles from all over the world to arrive in

Beijing in the beautiful fall 2018, so that we can share the happiness and joyfulness together.

Conditions of 20th BITF:

1. BITF will undertake your performers:

a) Accommodations for 6 nights

b) Meals for 7 days

c) Bus for 7 days.

d) Tourist Accident Insurance.

e) Visit some historical sites, such as the Great Wall and Summer Palace.

f) A free tour guide will be with each foreign performing group from the moment of its arrival in

Beijing to its departure from Beijing.

2. BITF will NOT undertake your below items:

a) International transportation.

b) Visa.

c) Transportation to other city in China.

d) Expenditure besides the BITF.

e) Expenditure of Non-performers (guests).

Application

If your team is interested in and would like to participate in 20th BITF 2018, please fill the

Application from. The Organizing Committee of BITF will check your group information

together with your photos and videos. Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development

will send you the Official Letter of Invitation after your group is selected. This Invitation letter is

the final confirmation of acceptance.
