INVITATION

We are pleased to invite children’s, youth, and adult choral groups to participate in the X International Summer Choir Festival and Competition “OHRID PEARL,” which will be held from 20 to 24 August 2025 in Ohrid, Macedonia.

Organized by the Association of Culture and Art “Models,” Youth Culture Center, in cooperation with National Institutions, Ohrid Municipality, and World Festival Association, this event is one of the most distinguished choir festivals in the region.

Each choir may choose to participate either in the competition or as a non-competitive performer. Competitive performances will be evaluated by a jury, and the best choir will receive the grand prize: the statue “OHRID PEARL.” Choirs must participate in at least two of the following three sections:

– Open-air performances (15–20 minutes)
– Pop music (choral arrangements, 8–12 minutes)
– Folk music (choral arrangements, 8–12 minutes)

All choirs are expected to bring a flag of their country, submit a short choir CV and photos, and arrange their own transportation. Legal rights for performance material must be secured by the choir. A minimum of 5 choir groups is required for the competition part.

– Day trip to Struga and the traditional village of Vevcani
– Optional guided tour to Skopje on extended stay
