Beijing, the capital of the People’s Republic of China, is the nation’s political, economic and 

culture center as well as a hub of transportation and international exchanges. As a world-

renowned ancient culture city, Beijing’s history as a city goes back to 3,000 years ago, and 

from the mid-12th century, it has served as the nation’s capital during different historical 

periods for nearly 800 years. The venerated history has bestowed splendid culture and rich 

culture relics and historical remains on Beijing, Numerous palace complexes, imperial 

gardens, temples of different religions, former residences of celebrities, as well as 

modernized buildings and new artificial tourist scenes add radiance and beauty to each other, 

making Beijing a land pock marking with scenic spots and places of historical and culture 

interest.

Currently it exists 3,550 historical monuments and culture relics in Beijing. Great Wall, Palace 

Museum, Peking Man Site at Zhoukoudian, Summer Palace, Temple of heaven and Ming 

Tombs were inscribed on the World Heritage List by the UNESCO. Other attractions include 

Beihai, Zhongshan, and Jing-shan parks, Working People’s Palace of Culture, Ruins of 

Yuanmingyuan, Mansion of Prince Gong, Yunju and Tanzhe temples, Yonghegong Lamasery. 

Baiyan Taoist Temple, and so on.

As Beijing was the city of Olympics 2008, the spirit of "green Olympics, scientific Olympics 

and humanized Olympic" will surely bring more and more changes to Beijing, promote the 

development of sports and Olympics in China as well as in the world, and strengthen the 

friendly communications between Chinese and foreign people.

Beijing International Tourism Festival is first held in 1998, hosted by Beijing Municipal 

Government and Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development, is an annual activity 

related to culture and tourism, which has been held for 17 times. It, it is a carnival for the all 

participants. The skin color and nationality are transcended here; friendship and happiness 

become the only language.

We sincerely invite the most excellent art ensembles from all over the world to arrive in 

Beijing in the beautiful fall 2016, so that we can share the happiness and joyfulness together.

performance to Chinese Audience on the grand stage of BITF. It is no doubt that your 

participation in BITF and visiting to the great city will be extremely unforgettable experience in

Program

We would like to extend our sincere invitation to your excellent ensembles to be a part of the 

18th Beijing International Tourism Festival. It is anticipated to be held in Beijing from Sept 27 to 

Oct 2. 

BITF includes Rehearsal, the Opening Ceremony, Public Performances and Closing 

Ceremony.

The Schedule of 18th Beijing International Tourism Festival:

Sept 27 - Arrive in Beijing, Rehearsal

Sept 28 - Opening Ceremony of 18th Beijing International Tourism Festival 

Sept 29 - Public performance and visiting

Sept 30 - Public performance and visiting

Oct 1 - Public performance and visiting

Oct 2 – Closing Ceremony and departure from Beijing

Conditions of 18th BITF:

1. BITF will undertake your performers:

a) Accommodations for 5 nights

b) Meals for 6 days

c) Bus for 6 days.

d) Tourist Accident Insurance.

e) Visit some historical sites, such as Great Wall

f) A free tour guide will be with each foreign performing group from the moment of its arrival in 

Beijing to its departure from Beijing.

2. BITF will NOT undertake your below items:

a) International transportation.

b) Visa.

c) Transportation to other city in China.

d) Expenditure besides the BITF.

e) Expenditure of Non-performers (guests).

Application

If your team is interested in and would like to participate in 18th BITF 2016, please fill the 

Application from. The Organizing Committee of BITF will check your group information 

together with your photos and videos. The Organizing Committee of BITF will send you the 

Official Letter of Invitation after your group is selected.
