biza Island

Ibiza island is situated in the Balearic archipel. This is the third island in term of surface after Mallorca and Minorca. Well known for it night activities, Ibiza is also a wonderful island, with emeralds beaches, and an always blue sky (more than 300 days of sunshine per year). With stunning turquoise water and white sand, it’s easy to see why Ibiza is a popular holiday spot accommodating approximately 2.8 million tourists each year. Its magnificent architecture, coastline and sealife have landed it a World Heritage Site listing.

“Mare Nostrum” Festival

Since 1997, the festival offers us the spectacle of the dance of the Pine Islands. It is a unique opportunity to know the interesting local folklore with the participation of groups from other places coming from other countries for the occasion. It is a sign of the Ibizan culture also teaches popular sentiments of a land unit for the Mediterranean. XX. edition of the Mare Nostrum Folklore Festival will take place in the beautiful mediterranean island of Ibiza during three days from 25th to 28th of September in 2016. The local folk-dance groups would like to share the stage with foreign participants also. According there philosophy this cultural exchange would enrich all of the groups.
