All folklore groups are free to apply for the festival without the age limit or the limit of the participants.

Athens. The city with the most glorious history in the world, a city worshipped by gods and people, a magical city. The enchanting capital of Greece has always been a birthplace for civilization. It is the city where democracy was born and most of the wise men of ancient times. The most important civilization of ancient world flourished in Athens and relives through some of the world's most formidable edifices. Athens and Attica in general have the most important archaeological monuments (Acropolis, Odeion of Herodes Atticus, Olymbion, Roman Market, Panathinaiko Stadium or Kallimarmaro, The Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, etc). In the capital you will admire many imposing neoclassic buildings, true ornaments of the city (The Greek Parliament, Athens Academy and University, etc). Don't miss visiting the museums hosting unique treasures of our cultural inheritance (Archaeological Museum, Military Museum, Byzantine Museum, etc).

FESTIVAL PROGRAM

1 Day 22.07

• 14:00 Arrival to Athens. Accommodation in the selected accommodation unit. Free time for the individual activities.
• 19:00 Dinner
• 22:30 Meeting with the organizers and other participants.
• Overnight.

2 Day 23.07

• 07:30 Breakfast
• 10:00 Press Conference / Meeting with the local ensembles, and the local authorities.
• 12:00 Free time for the individual activities
• 17:00 Dinner
• 18:30 Gathering of the groups. Defile.
• 19:30 Opening ceremony of the the festival. Performances of the groups
• (The detailed program of the festival and the order of appearances will be submitted to the groups on their arrival)
• 22:30 Optional going in the disco club/ Restaurant with the live music

3 Day 24.07

• 07:30 Breakfast
• 10:00 Optional visiting of the Acropolis, National Archaeological Museum , Syntagma Square...
• 17:00 Dinner
• 19:30 Performances of the groups. Closing ceremony of the festival, plaque and diploma award, exchange of the presents between the groups and the organizers. End of the festival.
• 22:30 GoodbyeParty dinner in the typical Greek restaurant with the live music (Optional)

4 Day 25.07

• 07:30 Breakfast
• Optional Sightseeing Tour of Athens .
• 18:00 Dinner
• 20:00 Buzuki / Sirtaki night (Optional)

5 Day 26.07

• 07:30 Breakfast
• 12:00 Departure of the groups. End of service
