INVITATION

With pleasure, we INVITE you (children, youth, and adult groups) to participate in the XXX International Music & Folk Dance Festival “OHRID SUN” from 20 to 24 August 2026 in Ohrid.

The purpose of the festival is to present the cultural traditions of different countries and provide an opportunity for participants to meet, build friendships, and exchange culture through dance and music.

Ohrid City – a unique blend of rich history and vibrant modern life.

 PARTICIPATION INFORMATION

Participation is open to:

Children, youth, and adult folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups, soloists, and performers from other art styles.

Conditions:

The festival is non-competitive.
Each ensemble should prepare at least 2 folk dances (12–18 minutes) performed live or with USB.
Choral groups should prepare two pieces, totaling 12–18 minutes.
Performances are held in the evenings to allow time for sightseeing and excursions.
Each group must send a short biography and photos.
Groups must bring their national flag.
Participants must organize their own transport.
Maximum number per group: 70 members (dancers, musicians, staff, family).
Only 3 folklore groups from each country will be accepted.

 INSURANCE

Personal and health insurance are the responsibility of each group. Medical service and first aid will be available, but must be covered by the participants.

EXTENDED STAY

If desired, you may extend your stay in Ohrid.
Prices range from 29 to 39 EUR per person/day, depending on accommodation.
