We invite you to join us in the historic city of Kraków, Poland, for the International Folklore, Dance and Music Competition and Festival “Wawelskie Skarby”. The event will take place on 02 May 2026 at the Museum of Japanese Art and Technology Manggha, located in the city center directly opposite the iconic Wawel Castle. This unique venue provides a stunning cultural backdrop for a day of artistic competition and exchange.
The festival is organized by Fundacja Widowisk Masowych, Poland, and the NGO Art Center Antre, Ukraine, in cooperation with the Foundation for Cultural Diplomacy and the Foundation for Active Integration, Poland. Our goal is to create a platform for international cultural exchange, supporting and promoting amateur and professional artists.
Festival Welcomes:
Dance groups (folk, stylized, classical, contemporary, jazz, street, ballroom, historical, etc.)
Theatre groups (excerpts from performances)
Folklore groups, ritual theatres, folk art ensembles
Fashion theatres / fashion shows
Vocal, instrumental, and vocal-instrumental groups
Choirs
Soloists in all the above genres
Other genres accepted upon review.
General Rules:
Competition Performance Duration:
Soloists, duets, trios, quartets: Up to 3 minutes
Small groups (5–9 participants): Up to 5 minutes (for 1 or 2 performances)
Groups (10+ participants): Up to 9 minutes (for 1 or 2 performances)
Theatres (5+ participants): Up to 9 minutes (performance excerpt)
Participants must provide their own instruments (piano availability must be confirmed in advance).
Send CV, photos, and high-quality music accompaniment.
Participants may enter multiple categories with separate applications and fees.
The festival is competitive.
Awards:
DIAMOND GRAND PRIX (special exceptional award)
Grand Prix (absolute winner): Diploma, souvenir, medals, individual diplomas, trophy.
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th place: Medals, individual diplomas, group trophy.
Participant Diploma (below 4th place): Medals, individual diplomas, trophy.
Debut Diploma (MINI KIDS age 4-6): Medals, individual diplomas, trophy.
All teachers and leaders receive Certificates of Appreciation. All participants receive commemorative gifts.
Jury & Evaluation Criteria:
The jury consists of 4-5 members from culture and art sectors. Evaluation is on a 10-point scale based on technique, interpretation, repertoire choice, and overall artistic impression, applied separately within each genre and age category.
