19th Mediterranean Folklore Dance, Choir and Traditional Band Festival

INVITATION
We invite folklore dance groups, choirs, and traditional bands from Mediterranean countries and around the world to take part in an international cultural festival in Larnaka and Nicosia, Cyprus, taking place from 10–15 September 2026.
Set at the crossroads of history and the Mediterranean spirit, Cyprus offers a warm atmosphere, rich traditions, and an inspiring environment for artistic exchange and celebration.
PARTICIPATION
The festival welcomes folklore dance groups, choirs, traditional bands, and musical ensembles.
Participants must be aged 14 years and above.
GENERAL RULES
Group size must be between 16 and 60 persons, including dancers, choir members, musicians, and escorts. Musical ensembles may participate with a minimum of 6 persons.
Each group will have 5 performances. Dance groups must present 3 different choreographies with different costumes, while choirs and bands must perform different songs and outfits at each appearance.
All groups must arrive no later than 10 September 2026 by 23:00. Late arrivals must arrive on 9 September and pay an additional overnight fee.
Applications must be submitted by 28 February 2026, including a DVD, group biography, and CVs, sent by post or email.
Groups arrange their own international travel. The organizers do not provide visas and do not cover travel costs, insurance, or medical expenses.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation is provided in hotel-apartments (1–4 bedrooms) or 2–3 star hotels, with rooms for 3–6 persons.
PARTICIPATION FEE
The participation fee is 330 EUR per member (dancers and musicians) and 350 EUR per escort or visitor.
A non-refundable deposit of 230 EUR per person is required upon acceptance.
The remaining 100 EUR must be paid one month before arrival.
One group leader participates free of charge for groups of 30 or more members.
SUPPLEMENTS
Single room supplement: 60 EUR per person per night.
Double room supplement: 45 EUR per person per night.
Extra night charge for arrival on 9 September:
Multi-share room 35 EUR, double room 45 EUR, single room 60 EUR.
MEALS INCLUDED
Four breakfasts from 11–14 September.
Five lunches and five dinners (buffet style) from 10–14 September.
No meals are provided on departure day, 15 September.

EXCURSIONS AND ACTIVITIES
Included at no extra cost are a mini cruise, boat party, diving activities, free entry to attractions and archaeological museums, traditional evening parties with free food and drinks, and nightly DJ entertainment.
Optional excursions at extra cost include cultural tours in Larnaka and Nicosia, village visits in the Tamassos region (Anagyia, Episkopeio, Ergates and others), wine tasting and traditional food experiences, and additional sightseeing or boat trips with transportation available for a small supplement.
