Participation Info

We invite you to join us in the beautiful city of Rimini, Italy, for the XXIII. International Folklore Festival from 24-28 August 2026.
Rimini, one of the most popular summer resorts in Italy, offers beautiful sandy beaches, a vibrant historic center, and excellent nightlife. Participants will include ensembles from Italy, Slovenia, Poland, Ukraine, Greece, Turkey, Serbia, Indonesia, India, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Russia, Armenia, Lithuania, Latvia, Bulgaria, Hungary, and more.

Festival Welcomes:

Cultural and artistic societies, folklore ensembles (no specific list provided in source; assumes similar group types).
General Rules:
Performance includes a defile (parade) through the city of Rimini.
Groups receive certificates and plaques.
Maximum 1 additional seat (free participation) per 25 members.
Groups arrange own transport. Facultative tours available at extra cost.
Invitation letter provided for visa purposes (visas free for cultural-artistic societies with invitation letter from the participating Italian cultural-artistic society).

Accommodation at 3-star hotels in Rimini, such as: Diamond, Lily, Karin, Ilde, John, Crown, Stacolli, Elbe***.
Participation Fee (Registration Fee):
225 EUROS (payable in several monthly installments until departure).
Included in Price:
4 nights’ hotel accommodation with half board (breakfast and dinner).
Rooms: 1/3 and 1/4 occupancy (supplement for 1/2 rooms: €5 per person/night).
Organization expenses.
Certificates (degrees) and plaques.
Program leading.
Professional assistance.
Invitation letter.
One additional seat (free) per 25 members.
Not Included / Additional Costs:
Tourist tax: from €2.50 per person/day (depending on hotel category, only for persons over 14 years).
Facultative tours (see Section 4).
Visa and insurance (visas are free with invitation letter).
Additional day (half board): €45–55 depending on hotel.

Day 1 (24.08.)
Arrival at hotel, accommodation, info appointment.
Tour and introduction to Rimini (walking, swimming, tour of the city and beaches).
Return to hotel. Dinner. Overnight stay.
Possibility to depart to one of Rimini’s discotheques.
Day 2 (25.08.)
Breakfast.
Day on the beach or facultative half-day tour to Ravenna (Byzantine churches, UNESCO heritage).
Free time in Ravenna.
Return to Rimini. Dinner. Overnight stay.
Day 3 (26.08.)
Breakfast.
Festival Day: Preparation for defile. Defile through the city of Rimini.
Performances of cultural-artistic societies.
Receiving certificates and plaques.
Dinner.
Facultative: Discotheque. Overnight stay.
Day 4 (27.08.)
Breakfast.
Facultative half-day tour to San Marino (oldest republic in the world: monument of Garibaldi, Porta San Francesco, Square of Freedom).
Return to Rimini. Dinner.
Facultative: Mutually-friendly night at discotheque. Overnight stay.
Day 5 (28.08.)
Breakfast.
Departure of ensembles or facultative tour to Venice, Verona, Padova, or Trieste.
Return to point of departure.
