GREAT FESTIVAL MOOD ON THE FESTIVAL IN CYPRUS
Between September 13 and 16, the 17th Mediterranean Festival of Folklore Dances, Choirs, and Traditional Orchestras took place in Larnaca.
The event gathered participants from dozens of countries, including Armenia, Costa Rica, Egypt, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Lebanon, Latvia, Slovakia, and Kosovo.
For 17 years now, the festival, which celebrates traditions and culture, has offered a rich program with free performances for the local audience and visitors to the city.
Organized by the Cultural Folklore Club of Nicosia under the leadership of its president, Mrs. Rea Madella-Ioannidou, the festival continues to be a central event for lovers of traditional arts in the region.
Despite the challenges related to economic conditions and the lack of additional sponsorship, the organizers managed to hold another edition filled with emotions, dance, and music.
This year, the festival attracted not only numerous performers but also spectators who enjoyed a vibrant palette of cultural performances, turning Larnaca into a stage for international cultural exchange.
