INVITATION

We invite you to the historic and beautiful city of Kraków, Poland, for the International Folklore, Dance and Music Competition and Festival “Wawelskie Skarby,” taking place from December 6–8, 2025.

Kraków, the former royal capital, is a cultural heart of Poland, renowned for its well-preserved medieval core and Jewish quarter. The city boasts the magnificent Wawel Royal Castle and the bustling Main Market Square. The festival will be held at the modern and iconic Museum of Japanese Art and Technology Manggha, offering a unique cultural contrast.

This prestigious international event provides the perfect platform for artistic exchange and competition, welcoming groups and performers from around the world.

The festival welcomes dance groups (folk, classical, contemporary, jazz, street, ballroom, show-bellydance), folklore groups, ritual theatres, folk art ensembles, vocal and instrumental groups, choirs, theatre groups, fashion theatres and fashion shows, soloists, duets, trios, quartets, and other performers upon application review.


 GENERAL RULES

The festival is non-competitive in spirit but organized as a competition in structure.
Performance duration limits must be respected.
Participants must bring their own instruments. A piano is available on request.
Groups may perform in multiple categories with separate applications and fees.
All applications and high-quality music must be submitted by November 10, 2025.
Late applications are accepted upon request.


 PERFORMANCE DURATION

Soloists, duets, trios, quartets: 1 performance up to 3 minutes.
Small groups (5–9 participants): 1–2 performances, total up to 5 minutes.
Groups (10+ participants): 1–2 performances, total up to 9 minutes.
Theatres (5+ participants): Excerpt up to 9 minutes.


 AWARDS AND JURY

Awards include:
Diamond Grand Prix for exceptional achievement.
Grand Prix for the absolute winner, including diploma, gift, medals, and trophy.
Small Grand Prix, awarded at the jury’s discretion.
First, second, third, and fourth places, including medals, individual diplomas, and group trophy.
Participant diploma for scores below fourth place, including medals, diplomas, and trophy.
Debut diploma for the MINI KIDS category (ages 4–6), including medals, diplomas, and trophy.

All leaders and teachers receive Certificates of Appreciation.
All participants receive commemorative gifts, badges, and festival symbols.

Jury & Evaluation:

The international jury consists of 4–5 experts from culture, art, and media.
Evaluation is on a 10-point scale, tailored to each genre and age category.
Criteria include technique, interpretation, repertoire choice, and overall artistic impression.
The jury’s decisions are final and not subject to appeal.


 AGE CATEGORIES

Mini Kids: 4–6 years
Kids: 7–9 years
Children: 10–13 years
Juniors: 14–17 years
Adults: 18 and older
Seniors: 50 and older
Mixed groups are accepted.


 ACCOMMODATION INFO

Festival package cost includes accommodation:

Hostel (3–5 person rooms): 130 EUR per person
Hotel (2–4 person rooms): 179 EUR per person

Offer: For every 20 paying participants, one group leader is free.

The package includes accommodation for 3 days and 2 nights, meals with breakfast and dinner (from dinner on the day of arrival to breakfast on the day of departure), a guided tour of Kraków, and official invitation letters and documents.

Not included in the package are festival participation fees, transportation to and from Kraków, optional excursions and museum tickets, personal expenses, and local transport.

Groups (10+ participants): 18 EUR per participant
Groups (5–9 participants): 23 EUR per participant
Duets, trios, quartets: 28 EUR per participant
Soloists: 40 EUR per participant

Fee for each additional performance:
Groups (10+): 10 EUR per participant
Groups (5–9): 12 EUR per participant
Duets, trios, quartets: 17 EUR per participant
Soloists: 23 EUR per participant


 PROGRAM

Arrival in Kraków and check-in at selected hotel or hostel.
City walk.
Dinner.

Day 2 – December 7, 2025
Breakfast.
Festival day with stage rehearsals, sound check, and technical preparations.
Opening ceremony.
Competition performances.
Closing and Award Ceremony.
Dinner.

Day 3 – December 8, 2025
Breakfast.
Check-out and departure.
