 With pleasure we INVITE you (folk groups, Choral groups and orchestras majorette teams), (children, youth and adults groups) to participate on  International  MUSIC & DANCE festival and competition ART FOLK FEST   01 -10 August 2025 Kobuleti,Batumi, Georgia

International Festival Competition Art Folk Fest is intended for groups and soloists of different ages and dance/vocal categories. It’s a celebration of dance art for children and adults in a unique atmosphere of ancient Georgia, combining a holiday in wonderful country with participation in a prestigious event. The biggest award will be 1 Grand Prize in the amount of 1000 euro for the best performance (from all categories) carefully selected by competent jury. Our richest experience makes Art-Folk leader in the realization of international festivals and contests in Georgia and is synonym for quality and excellence. 

Note: Participation in the Contest is optional. Groups, performers can participate in all of the Festival events without being part of Contest, as laureates. Please indicate in the filled in application your intention of participation – Festival laureate or Competition participant. 

Venues for the Festival-Contest: 

• Batumi State Musical Center
• Batumi Summer Theatre

Goal of the Festival: 

• Development of arts; popularization of the world culture; sharing of experience between participants; empowerment of mutual respect and tolerance; deepening of creative contacts; popularization of Georgian and world arts. 

Participation Conditions:

• Participants present two shows (3-5 minutes each). In the final conclusive concert participating artists will present only one show.  Music can be live or phonogram.  With the application Festival participants submit their program (audio, video files of their previous shows, materials necessary to be published in the newspaper and Festival Magazine).  Festival participants will be awarded with the Festival Laureate Diplomas and different presents.

Participation fee:

According to self-funding principle each foreign participating groups pay the following fee per participant of their group:

• 320 Euro per person - 10 days (9 nights) - 1 Level hotel accommodation (2, 3, 4 bed rooms), meals 3 times a day; transportation is free on concert days
• 400 Euro per person - 10 days (9 nights) - 2 Level hotel accommodation (2, 3, 4 bed rooms), meals 3 times a day; transportation is free on concert days

Important: Every 16th participant of a Festival participant group is free from the Festival fee!
Any group willing to participate must submit an Application form.
Approved groups pay in advance a 10% guarantee fee, which is to be deducted at the final payment.

Next step: participating group transfers 50% advance payment of the whole fee to be paid.  Remaining 40% is to be transferred not later than a week ahead of the start of Festival.

NEWS ABOUT THE FESTIVAL                                Published on 24 July 2019

Both phases of the International Festival "Art Folk Fest - Summer 2019" were held successfully in the period 19-28 June 2019 and 15-24 July 2019.

More than 2000 performers, including participants from 8 foreign countries, performed in the 6 concerts organized within the International Festival.

The Traditional Forum was organized by the Art-Folk Union for Development of Culture and Arts. Besides the Georgian dance groups participating in “Art-Folk Fest 2019”, there were vocal, dance and musical groups from Israel, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Ukraine, Russia and Armenia. During the two festival phases, the concerts were held in the Kobuleti Outdoor Music Center, Batumi Arts Center and Batumi Summer Theater.

On 25 June at the Historical Fortress “Anaklia” was organized a joint concert between “Art-Folk Fest” and “Art-Kolkhi Folklore Festival”. Before the start of the event, the Mayor of Zugdidi - George Schengelia, welcomed the foreign participants.

Thanks to the support of the Ajarian State Ensemble for Songs and Dances “Arsiani”, the international groups of the festival had the opportunity to watch the rehearsal of the State Ensemble and take part in the master class.

International participants enjoyed excursions to Georgia's largest landmarks. The festival was held in a very friendly and professional atmosphere. The guests were delighted with the Georgian hospitality.
