XXI International Music & Dance Festival ''ETNO FEST BUDAPEST''

INVITATION
We are pleased to invite Folk Ensembles, Choral Groups, Ballroom Dance Teams, Art Schools, Music Theatre Groups, Modern Dance Teams, Orchestras, and Majorette Teams (Children and Youth Groups) to participate in the XX International Music & Dance Festival “ETNO FEST BUDAPEST” from 03 – 06 April 2026. Budapest, Hungary’s capital, is a city of rich history, culture, and architecture. Located along the majestic Danube River, the city offers a blend of ancient and modern attractions, including thermal baths, classical music venues, and vibrant nightlife.
Participants: Folk Dance Ensembles, Choral Groups, Vocal Groups, Musical Orchestras. Age: All ages
Important Information: Groups must complete the Application Form to participate. Approved groups are required to pay a 10% guarantee fee, which will be deducted from the final payment. A 20 EUR per person reservation fee is required, also deducted from the final payment. Bank taxes are the responsibility of the group. Cancellation less than 5 days before the festival means reservation fees are non-refundable.
The participation fee includes invitation letter, participation in the festival, organization expenses, diplomas and souvenirs, and English-speaking guides for participating groups. The participation fee does not include transport expenses, insurance, local transfers, excursions, drinks not included in half board, any other unspecified expenses, or damages caused by participants.
ACCOMMODATION INFORMATION
Accommodation for the festival will be provided in 3-star and 4-star hotels.
Accommodation Costs: 3-star Hotels: 129 EUR per person (3 nights, bed and breakfast; 1/2 and 1/3 rooms). Additional charge for a single room: 25 EUR per room per day. 4-star Hotels: 145 EUR per person (3 nights, bed and breakfast; 1/2 rooms). Additional charge for a single room: 30 EUR per room per day.
Free Accommodation: For every 26th person in the group, one person stays free of charge (25 paying + 1 free). Bus drivers are included in the total number of persons.
Payment Details: The participation fee can be paid by bank transfer before the festival or in cash upon arrival. Groups must pay the guarantee fee and reservation fee in advance.
PROGRAM INFORMATION
Day 1 (Arrival): Arrival of groups after 15:00, accommodation check-in, meeting with group leaders, free time.
Day 2 & Day 3 (Festival Days): Breakfast, free time, evening performance (1 or 2 performances per group).
Day 4 (Departure): Breakfast, check-out, and departure to your point of origin.
Performance Requirements: All groups must provide their own music, orchestra, or USB/CD for their performances. Groups are required to bring their country’s flag and a board with the group’s name to the festival.
Important Notes: All participants must have international health insurance. Each group leader is responsible for the behavior of their group according to the hotel policy and festival program. Any damages during the festival are at the cost of the group. The festival organizer reserves the right to use video and photos of all participants. The festival program may change, and participants will be informed promptly.
For registration, please fill in the Application Form and submit the history of your group along with 3-5 photos and a video or performance link. Spaces are limited.
EXCURSIONS INFORMATION
Excursions are not included in the participation fee but are available at an additional cost. Local sightseeing tours can be arranged at the cost of the group. Participants can explore Budapest’s historical sites, such as Buda Castle, Parliament Building, thermal baths, and more. All groups should budget for additional excursion costs if they wish to explore the city further.
