INVITATION

We are pleased to invite majorette teams and orchestras — including children, youth, and adult groups — to participate in the II Majorettes & Orchestra Festival “Paralia March & Melody Festival”, which will take place from 14–19 July in Paralia, Katerini, Greece.

The festival’s primary goal is to present the cultural traditions of various countries and foster friendships through music and dance.
Performances will take place on the main square in Paralia and at Olympic Beach, bringing music closer to the public by performing in streets and squares. 


 General Rules

The festival is non-competitive, with groups performing to showcase their cultural heritage.

Only 3 groups per country will be accepted.

Each group should consist of no more than 85 members.

Performances are scheduled for the evening hours, allowing free time for sightseeing and excursions during the day.

Each group should send a short CV and photos, and bring a national flag.

Groups must arrange their own transport for arrival and departure.

Groups must have personal responsibility and health insurance.
First aid services will be available, but medical services must be covered by the group.


 Accommodation Information

Accommodation will be provided in hotels and apartments in Paralia and Olympic Beach, close to the beach and festival venues.

Hotel options include Yakhintos, Katerina, Xenia Zeus, Ifigenia, Despina, London, Phenix, and apartments such as Rainbow Resort, Passion, Kronos, and Bambus.

Participation fees per person:

144 EUR – 3 nights / 4 days (half-board: breakfast and dinner)

164 EUR – 4 nights / 5 days (half-board)

199 EUR – 5 nights / 6 days (half-board)

All double and single rooms are available on request. Multiple-bed rooms assigned based on availability.

Additional double rooms: 12 EUR per person per day

Additional single rooms: 35 EUR per person per day

Accommodation includes multiple rooms with private toilets.
For leaders and drivers, two double rooms will be provided.

Participants may extend their stay at a special price of 40 EUR per person per day (half-board).

Tourist tax: 2 EUR per person per day

 Transport Information

Festival organizers will arrange transport for groups arriving by plane at Thessaloniki Airport (75 km from Paralia).
The cost will be covered by the group and agreed based on the number of participants.

Day 1 :
13:00 – Arrival in Paralia, hotel accommodation, free time (beach time)
18:00–19:00 – Dinner at the hotel
21:00 – Welcome reception with group leaders

Day 2 :
07:00–08:30 – Breakfast
11:00–17:00 – Free time (beach or optional visits to Thessalonica or Katerini)
18:00–19:00 – Dinner at the hotel
21:00 – Party at Aloha Beach with all participants

Day 3 :
08:00–09:00 – Breakfast
09:00–16:00 – Boat excursion (20 EUR per person)
17:30–18:30 – Dinner at the hotel
19:30 – Optional Folk Night or free time

Day 4 :
09:00–10:00 – Breakfast
11:00–17:00 – Free time (beach or optional visit to Meteori)
19:30 – Festival Evening in Paralia Square

Day 5 :
08:00–10:00 – Breakfast
10:30 – Departure of participants

 Optional Extra Days (if staying longer)

Day 5 :
09:00–10:00 – Breakfast
10:30–14:00 – Free time or visit Katerini
19:00–20:00 – Dinner at the hotel
20:30 – Free time

Day 6 (14 July):
08:00–10:00 – Breakfast
10:30 – Departure


 COMMUNICATION STEPS

Step 1 — Apply

Fill out the online application form with your group details.

Step 2 — Confirmation

You’ll instantly receive an email confirming we got your application.

Step 3 — Application Number

Within 2 days you’ll receive your Application Number and required materials list.

Step 4 — Review

WOFA reviews your application and checks availability.

Step 5 — Acceptance

If accepted, you’ll receive an Invitation Letter and deposit instructions.

Deposit must be paid within 10 days.

Step 6 — Secure Your Spot

Send us your deposit confirmation. Your participation is officially confirmed.

Step 7 — Finalization

A WOFA coordinator will guide you through the final steps: participant list, travel details, and performance info.

 Excursion Information

Boat Excursion in Thermaikos Gulf:
09:00 – Departure from Paralia port
10:30 – 30-minute swimming stop at Plaka Beach
11:00 – Stop at Variko Beach for traditional lunch (grilled fish, Greek salad, drinks) prepared by the captain
14:00 – Departure from Variko Beach, with another swimming stop in open sea
15:30 – Return to Paralia port

Additional excursions: Participants can also visit Thessalonica, Katerini, or Meteori (a famous historical site in Greece) on designated days.
