IV “International Muğla Milas Folk Dance festival”

INVITATION
We are delighted to invite folklore groups, orchestras, majorette teams, modern dance groups, choirs, and music bands from around the world to take part in the International Festival in Milas, Turkey. The event offers an unforgettable experience combining artistic performance, cultural exchange, and the beauty of the Aegean region.
Participating ensembles are expected to prepare at least two dances, each lasting between 8 and 15 minutes, which may be presented using a USB or a live orchestra. Folklore groups should bring their national flag and a few symbolic gifts for official municipal visits.
Interested groups are required to complete and submit the official application form. Submission of a signed form constitutes acceptance of the festival regulations. Each group should send a short CV and at least three photographs by email. By April 1, 2024, a full list of participants including names, surnames, genders, dates of birth, and passport numbers must be submitted.
Transportation to and from Milas is the responsibility of each participating group.
ACCOMMODATION
The cost of accommodation is 60 euros per person for 4 nights with half board (2 meals per day) or 75 euros per person for 5 nights with half board. Accommodation is provided in dormitories. Group leaders and drivers are accommodated in double rooms, while other participants stay in triple or quadruple rooms. Additional nights may be reserved at a rate of 15 euros per person per day.
For every 25 participants, one group leader is entitled to complimentary participation (24 paying + 1 free).
The participation fee covers performances in official festival concerts, professional sound, stage and lighting equipment, accommodation in 2* or 3* hotels with half board service, a souvenir and gift for each group, and a certificate of attendance.
The fee does not include transportation to and from Milas, optional excursions, insurance, and personal expenses not specified in the participation fee.

14:00 – Arrival in Milas, accommodation, and meeting with festival representatives. Free time.
18:30 – 19:30 – Dinner at the hotel.
20:30 – Meeting with the festival director and choreographer.
Day 2
07:00 – 10:00 – Breakfast.
10:00 – 16:00 – Free time.
18:30 – 19:30 – Dinner.
20:00 – Official opening ceremony and Ensemble Parade with welcome speech.
21:00 – Performance (10–15 minutes).
Day 3
07:00 – 10:00 – Breakfast.
10:00 – 16:00 – Free time.
18:30 – 19:30 – Dinner.
20:30 – Performance (10–15 minutes).
Day 4
07:00 – 09:00 – Breakfast.
10:00 – 18:00 – Free time.

EXCURSIONS
