We are thrilled to invite you and your talented group to participate in the VII. St. Ivan’s Days Festival, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Lake Balaton in Keszthely, Hungary. This festival is a celebration of culture, dance, and community, and we want you to be a part of it!

About the Location

Lake Balaton

Known as the "Hungarian Sea," Lake Balaton is Hungary’s largest lake, stretching over 50 miles of crystal-clear green-yellow waters. This jewel of Transdanubia is surrounded by diverse landscapes, including gentle hills, flat plains, rivers, and smaller lakes, making it a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike.

Keszthely

Located on the western edge of Lake Balaton, Keszthely offers charming, shallow beaches and a relaxed atmosphere. It is home to numerous museums and historical landmarks, including the stunning Festetics Palace, a lavish baroque residence fit for royalty.

The festival welcomes:

  • Orchestras
  • Majorettes
  • Modern dance groups
  • Music bands from around the world

Note: There are no limits on the number of participants or their age.

 


 

Participation Fee

Accommodation Options

  1. Youth Hostel: €149 per person
  • Quadruple rooms, shared bathroom.
  • Supplement for a double room: €10 per person per day (maximum 2 double rooms per group).
  1. 4* Hotel Admirál Family Resort*: €185 per person
  • Triple and quadruple rooms.
  • Supplement for a double room: €15 per person per day.
  1. 3* Hotel Abbázia Club Hotel*: €189 per person
  • Apartments for 4 people (double living/sleeping area with a sofa bed and a double bed).
  • Supplement for an apartment for 2 people: €8 per person per day.
  • Supplement for an apartment for 1 person: €20 per person per day.

Additional Information:

  • Additional days can be booked on demand (prices depend on accommodation type).
  • Tourist tax: €2 per person per day (paid on-site).

Included in the Fee:

  • Participation in the festival concert.
  • Accommodation.
  • Half-board (breakfast and dinner).
  • Diplomas and gifts.
  • Organizational expenses.
  • Free entry to the local beach.

Not Included in the Fee:

  • Transportation.
  • Optional programs.

Festival Program

20 June 2025

  • Afternoon: Arrival, hotel check-in, and meeting with group leaders and festival organizers to discuss the program.
  • Evening: Dinner at the hotel.

21 June 2025

  • Morning: Breakfast and optional program (e.g., boat trip on Lake Balaton).
  • Afternoon: Beach time or visit Keszthely’s attractions such as Festetics Palace, Pethő House, Synagogue, Gothic parish church, or Georgikon Farm History Museum.
  • Evening: Dinner and performance at the Music Pavilion of Keszthely, followed by diploma and gift distribution.
  • Night: Free time to enjoy the open-air bars or terraces.

22 June 2025

  • Morning: Breakfast and optional program (e.g., sunbathing, wine-tasting, or visiting the Doll Museum or Historical Panopticon).
  • Afternoon: Explore the lakeside area or take a fun trip on the Sightseeing Nostalgia Train.
  • Evening: Dinner and free time.

23 June 2025

  • Morning: Breakfast and departure.

  1. Fill out the Application Form.
  2. Submit 10% of the participation fee as a guarantee deposit. This amount will be deducted from the final payment.
