With pleasure we INVITE you (Folk ensembles, Choral groups, Ballroom dance teams, art schools, Music theatre, modern dance teams, orchestras and majorette teams), (children and youth  groups) to participate on“X. “Welcoming the Alps” Festival, Abtenau, Salzburg region, from 23 -26 September   

Salzburg is one of the most beautiful areas of Europe. It is also a very popular place for hiking. The crystal-clear lakes of Salzkammergut (Wolfgangsee, Mondsee), the charming small towns (Hallstatt, St. Wolfgang) or the Hohe Tauern National Park provide wonderful experiences.

The sights of Salzburg (Mirabell-garden, Mozart-Haus, Cathedral, Hohensalzburg Fortress) are visited by tens of thousands of tourists each year.

Abtenau is a small town in this region, between thousands of metres of mountains, where ensembles are invited to the art festival. 

Participants:

Folklore groups, orchestras, majorettes, modern dance groups, choirs, music bands from all over the world

The number of the participants are not limited

No age limits

                                                      PROGRAM

Day 1

Afternoon arrival at Abtenau.

Occupying the accommodation, meeting with group leaders

Dinner, free program – walking in the main square

Day 2

Breakfast, optional program – tour to Hallstatt (32 km)

sightseeing in Salzburg (50 km)

(Hohensalzburg Fortress, Salzburg Cathedral,

Mozart’s Birthplace, Mirabell Gardens)

Performance

Dinner

Day 3

Breakfast, optional program – tour to Hallein (32 km),

Werfen (castle, „Eisriesenwelt Werfen” – 35 km), Golling (castle – 18 km),

Tour to Karkogelhütte

Performance – gala concert

Dinner

Day 4

Breakfast, departure of participants

Participation fee: 169 €

(Addition day can be booked for 48 euro/person/day)

Participation in the festival concerts (2 performances)

Accommodation in 3* Hotels, Apartments, Guest houses in triple rooms
