INVITATION

We invite you to join us in the beautiful city of Budapest, Hungary.

Budapest is the biggest city and the economic, historic, cultural, and touristic capital of Hungary. It is a city on either side of the majestic Danube: Buda, with its romantic streets and alleyways, and Pest, an effervescent cultural center. Budapest is a city of thermal baths, striking turn-of-the-century architecture, classical music, cultural monuments, and vibrant nightlife.

The festival will take place from November 26–29, 2026.

 PARTICIPATION

The festival welcomes mixed choirs, female choirs, and male choirs.

Participants must be 16 years of age or older.
Performance program: up to 30 minutes.
Include one composition from your country of origin in your repertoire.
Repertoire may include secular or sacred compositions of both contemporary and classical composers.
Each choir will have 1 or 2 performances (depending on the total number of choirs).
All choirs will perform the “Festival Hymn” together at the final concert.
There is no limit to the number of singers, but the organizer reserves the right to limit the number of choirs.

Each choir should send its CV (including choir and conductor), photos, and a performance video/link via email.

 ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation will be provided in 3-star or 4-star hotels in Budapest.

3-star hotels:
139 EUR per person for 3 nights with bed & breakfast.
Rooms: triple (1/3) and double (1/2).
Maximum 5 double rooms available without surcharge; for more double rooms, an additional payment of 6 EUR per room per day applies.
Single room supplement: 30 EUR per room per day.

4-star hotels:
149 EUR per person for 3 nights with bed & breakfast.
Rooms: double (1/2) and triple (1/3).
Single room supplement: 35 EUR per room per day.

Each 26th person is free of charge (25 paying + 1 free).
Bus drivers are included in the total number of persons.

 PAYMENT & GENERAL CONDITIONS

To apply, groups must submit the Application Form.
Approved groups pay a 10% guarantee fee, which is deducted from the final payment.
Then, a 30 EUR per person reservation payment is required in advance (deducted from the final amount).
All bank taxes are paid by the groups.
The remaining participation fee can be paid in cash upon arrival.

If a group cancels less than 5 days before the festival, reservation expenses will not be refunded.

The arrangement price does not include:
Transport expenses (bus can be arranged by the organizer at the group’s cost)
Insurance
Local transfers
Facultative tours
Hospitality expenses not included in the board
Other expenses not mentioned in the festival program
Damages caused by participants

All participants must have international health insurance.
Each group leader is responsible for their group’s behavior according to hotel policy and festival rules.
Any damages during the festival are at the cost of the group.
The organizer reserves the rights to photos and videos of all performances.
The organizer also reserves the right to make program changes, informing participants in due time.

By applying, you confirm that you accept all festival conditions.

 PROGRAM

A detailed program of the V Budapest International Choir Fest will be sent to participating choirs.

EXCURSIONS

Optional excursions will be available upon arrival.
