INVITATION
We are delighted to invite folk ensembles, orchestras, and cultural groups from around the world to participate in the XI International Folk Dance & Music Festival in the historic city of Çanakkale, Turkey. The festival aims to promote international friendship and cultural understanding through music and dance, offering participants an opportunity to perform, explore, and experience the beauty and heritage of this remarkable region.
PARTICIPATION INFORMATION
This festival is open to groups worldwide, regardless of age or gender. Each ensemble should prepare at least two dances, with each performance lasting between 8 and 15 minutes, presented either via USB or with a live orchestra. Participating folklore groups are encouraged to bring their national flag and small gifts for official visits.
To join, interested groups should submit an application form acknowledging agreement with the terms of participation. A brief CV and at least three photos of the group must also be provided by email. Additionally, groups must submit a list of all participants (including full names, gender, date of birth, and passport numbers) by 5 May 2026.
ACCOMMODATION INFORMATION
Festival accommodation will be provided in Kumru Hotels, Çanakkale, offering 2-3 star options in triple and quadruple rooms. Leaders and drivers will receive two double rooms, while other participants will stay in shared rooms. Half-board accommodation includes breakfast and dinner daily. Participants may extend their stay with an extra night at a cost of 30 Euros per person.
Participation Fee:
100 Euros per person for three nights (half-board, two meals daily)
130 Euros per person for four nights (half-board, two meals daily)
For groups of 25 participants, one group leader will be granted complimentary participation (24 paying + 1 free).
Room Upgrades:
Double room: 7 Euros per person per day
Single room: 15 Euros per person per day
The participation fee includes accommodation on a half-board basis, festival concerts, professional sound, stage and lighting equipment, souvenirs, gifts, and a certificate of attendance. Transportation, optional excursions, insurance, and any items not explicitly stated under “fee includes” are excluded.

14:00 – Arrival in Çanakkale, hotel check-in, and meeting with festival representatives

20:30 – Meeting with directors and choreographers

10:00–14:00 – Optional city tour of Çanakkale, including the city cordon and ancient bazaar, or free time
16:00 – Open-air performance
19:00–20:00 – Dinner at the hotel

09:00–15:00 – Free time
16:00–19:00 – Festival party
19:00–20:00 – Dinner at the hotel
Day 4
07:00–09:00 – Breakfast
10:00–12:00 – Open-air performance

APPLICATION AND PAYMENT DETAILS
All interested groups must submit an application form, and upon approval, make an advance payment of 10% as a guarantee fee, deductible from the final payment. A further 20% payment is required to confirm accommodation booking. The remaining balance can be paid before the festival begins or upon arrival, as agreed with the organizers.
