I N V I T A T I O N

 With pleasure we INVITE (folk ensembles,choral groups, majorette teams, art schols.orchestras,bands, modern dance, balroom dance teams..) (children, youth and adult groups  ) to participate on XI International Music& Dance festival “MALTA INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL”   24 -26 October   ,Valleta,MALTA 

  The intention of our invitation  and the Festival light motive is to present the cultural tradition of different countries and to provide an opportunity for the members of groups to get together, to establish friendships and culture presentation trough dance and music.The idea of the Festival is to bring the music closer to the people and to present the music on the streets and the squares. 

 PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

Festival Welcomes:

  • Folk ensembles, flag-waving groups, bagpipe bands, majorette troupes and other traditional performance groups (children, youth, adult).

General Rules:

  • Performances include outdoor parades and stand-still performances.

  • For parades, groups use their own instruments.

  • For stand-still performances, the festival provides an audio system (CD & USB compatible) and five microphones.

  • Groups must arrange their own airfare or other transportation to Malta.

  • Local transfers to all performances are included.

  • Submission of CV and promotional photos via email is mandatory upon application.

 

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS

Participants stay in 3-star hotels in Bugibba, Qawra, St. Paul’s Bay or St. Julian’s—Malta’s most touristic areas.

 PARTICIPATION FEE

  • € 245 per person: 3 nights, bed & breakfast

  • € 20 per person per day: half-board supplement (lunch or dinner, water included)

  • € 20 per person per night: single-room supplement

  • € 5 per person per night: non-performer supplement (friends, family, etc.)

  • Free for children up to 3 years

  • 1 free package for every 25 paying guests

Additional Costs:

  • € 46 per person per extra night (bed & breakfast)

 

INCLUDED BY ORGANIZERS

  • Transfers from airport/harbour to hotel (arrival & departure)

  • Transfers from hotel to all performances

  • On-site assistance by festival personnel

  • Festival registration

  • Tourist tax

 

NOT INCLUDED

  • International travel to Malta (airfare, ferry, etc.)

  • Optional cultural excursions (unless booked through festival)

  • Insurance

 

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Deposit: 30 % of total fee due upon confirmation (non-refundable)

  • Balance: Full payment due one month before festival start date

 

  • Cancellation:
  • Refund (minus deposit) if cancelled on or before 10 days prior)
  • No refunds for cancellations within 10 days of the festival

 PROGRAM SCHEDULE

Day 1 – Friday, 24 October

  • Arrival in Malta; transfers to hotel

  • Evening performance in a Maltese town alongside local folk groups

Day 2 – Saturday, 25 October

  • Morning: Optional cultural excursion (extra cost)

  • Evening: Performance in a second Maltese town with local ensembles

Day 3 – Sunday, 26 October

  • Morning parade along Valletta’s main streets

  • Official presentations by Maltese authorities and festival organizers

Day 4 – Monday, 27 October

  • Departure of all international groups; transfers to airport/harbour
 
 

OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS (extra cost)

  • The Three Cities (Vittoriosa, Senglea, Cospicua)
  • Mdina, the “Silent City” and former Maltese capital
  • Marsaxlokk fishing village market
  • Other bespoke tours upon request
