    With pleasure we INVITE you (Folk ensembles, Choral groups,Brass bands, orchestras, modern dance group, majorette teams), (children, youth and adults groups) to participate on IV International  music & Folk - dance festival “CROATIA PEARL” from 12 – 16 September, SPLIT, CROATIA 2018

    The Festival light motive is to present the cultural tradition of different countries and to provide an opportunity for the members of groups to get together, to establish friendships and culture presentation trough dance and music.

SPLIT - one of the best European tourist destination..The story of Split is already 17 centuries old, dating to the time the Roman Emperor Diocletian decided to build his Palace right on the peninsula near the great Roman city Salona, where he wanted to spend the last years of his life. During these 1700 years the Palace slowly turned into a city, which to this day lures with its rich tradition, glorious history and beauty of its natural and cultural heritage.

Diocletian Palace and the entire historical core of Split have been on the World Heritage UNESCO list ever since 1979, and not only for the extraordinary preservation of the Palace, but also because the Palace and its city (or the city and its Palace, if you like) continue to live a full life. All historical layers from the old Rome, middle ages till today are still visible and alive in this structure. A walk through the ancient city takes you through time, along the great examples of ancient architecture like Peristyle, the middle aged Romanesque Church and Gothic Palace, Renaissance portals of the noblemen’s houses, Baroque facades and modern architecture superbly merged in the rich heritage.

Such stratification is mirrored in everyday life of Split. Local inhabitants sit in the same cafes, restaurants, shop in the same stores as tourists, giving them the impression that, by arriving to Split, they became a part of the city and its rhythm. The vegetable market and the fish market represent the centre of each family’s life in Split, just as the entire social life of this city of 200 thousand reflects on the Riva (waterfront), where every guest should endeavour to have his coffee alongside noisy, temperamental folk of Split.

Split is much more than glorious architectural scenery. Split is also a venue for excellent gourmet and vine experiences, numerous cultural happenings like film and theatre festivals, exhibitions, excellent museums and concerts, a city which offers eclectic modes of entertainment starting with numerous clubs and bars, through street festivals to events such as Ultra Europe Festival visited each year by up to 100 thousand young people from around one hundred countries of the world. Split with its sport results is something only a handful of cities of similar size around the world can boast about as it is the home of a dozen Olympic medal winners as well as other sports medals.

When you tire of the city bustle, there’s Marjan, hill symbol over the city, with its forest, jogging trails, mountain climbing and biking, recreational terrains, but also the ancient churches where the late citizens of Split sought spiritual peace. Also very unusual to find in a city the size of Split are the numerous beaches with extraordinarily clean sea, from the well known Bačvice to the stone secluded oases’ all around Marjan. 

After all that’s said are you at all surprised that citizens of Split have a saying "There is no place like Split”?

  After 14.00.Arrival in Split,  hotel accommodation,(sunbathing and swimming in the sea) and free time

21.00. Welcome reception  with leaders of the groups with welcome drinks

 

13.09. Thursday

 08.00 -10.00 Breakfast,

 10.00 – 16.00 Split sightseeing or visiting Zadar (optional), or Trogir (optional)

         18.00 - 19.00 prepearing for defille

       20.00 – 23.00 Festival parade and festival evening on the square)main promenada)

 

   14.09 Friday 

    08.00 -10.00 Breakfast,( open buffet)

    10.00 – 18.00 Beach time or boat trip to tha islands and wonderfull beaches (swimming) visiting Zadar (optional), or Trogir (optional)

    21.00 – 00.00 Closing Ceremony of the festival – organizers wil give certificates and presents to the leaders of the groups, than  exchange presents, and after that disco party with all participants,

General rules :

-         is a non-competitive sample of traditional and modern dances, choral groups Brass bands, orchestras, modern dance group, majorette teams.

-         Every Folklore, Choral group and majorette Teams has the right to participate. Children's ensembles  (2/3 of the participants must be 16 or younger), Youth ensembles (2/3 of the participants must be 25 or younger), adult ensembles (1/3 of the participants must be older than 25).On the festival may participate folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups and soloists, as well as groups and performers from other art styles. . 

-         The number of participants are limited (only 3  groups from each country),

-         Each group should consist of most 50 members including dancers, managers and musicians,

-         Ensemble should have prepared program, 10-12 minutes each with orchestra or CD.

-         To send us short CV and 2 – 3 photos of the group,

-         To take a flag of the country,

-         Ensembles should have there own transport for arrival and departure,

 

Participation fee is

-          94 Euro for 3 BB ( bad and breakfast – open buffet) per person

-         126 Euro for 4 BB ( bad and breakfast  – open buffet) per person

       It covers hotel accommodation on base of 3 or 4  nights with breakfast in hotels located on the sea in triple rooms) in hotel "Zagreb" with own beach..

      Double    rooms are additional 5 euro per person per day…single room 15 euro per person per day..   

           Facultative excursions are not include in the price

 

Festival organizers provide:

-         for 25 dancers – one gratis,

-         Certificate for attendance,

-         souvenir and gift for each group,

- drinks during performance,

-         discotheque

-         Free parking

-     advertising of the festival (press conference, radio and tv channels, posters and flayers).

Note: Croatia tourist tax is 1 euro per day per person and it is pay after the accommodation.

Dinner in hotel is open buffet and it is 8 euro per person extra.

INSURANCE: 
Personal responsibility and health insurance are within the other obligations of the groups. First Aid and Medical Hospital will be available, medical services must be covered by the group
.

On your request,  You can continue your stay in Crikvenica. Price will be 32 Euro per day per person BB – price is special for the participants in festivals that we can provide.

After Groups arrived in Hotel will be given detailed program of the festival and each group will have guide during festival. After the festival finish organizers will send you DVD from the festival program for each group and photos.The copy right of all video materials and pictures are ownership of the Organization of the Festival.

  The festival will organize the transport for the groups coming by plane by Zagreb airport or Split  airport or other airports in Croatia and  picking them up from airport, during the festival days and back to airport. The cost of the transportation will be covered by the group and will be additionally agreed according to their number. Payment can be done on several parts.
