Shanghai Tourism Festival (STF) is held for more than twenty years since 1990. It is a large

–scale international event hosted by Shanghai People’s Government of Municipality and

undertaken by Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration. Every year it is held in the middle

of September in Shanghai, which opens with a grand parade in the very famous commercial

street - Huaihai Road in the night. For last 28 years, more than 400 foreign art ensembles

from United States, Germany, Britain, France, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Serbia,

Ireland, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, Lithuania, Poland, Belgium, Netherlands,

Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Greece, Czech Republic, Denmark, Latvia, Brazil,

Mexico, Bahamas, Colombia, South Korea, India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia

and Brunei etc were officially invited to participate in the great event.

The festival acts as a perfect event for locals and foreigners to discover the fascination of

Chinese culture and history. A number of traditional as well as non traditional entertainment

programs held across different venues across the city. Each year, the opening parade lively

broadcasted on TV and radio also attracts an audience of over 200 million. Now it has

become a major festival for Shanghai local residence and become one of the most influential

events in China.

The 29th STF is going to be held during Sep.14 to Sep.19. 2018. We sincerely invite the most

excellent art ensembles from all over the world to arrive in Shanghai in the beautiful fall 2018,

so that we can share the happiness and joyfulness together.

Program of 29th Shanghai Tourism Festival

Sep.14 - Arrive in Shanghai, Rehearsal in night;

Sep.15 - Opening Ceremony of 29th Shanghai Tourism Festival at 19:30pm;

Sep.16 - Public show and visiting;

Sep.17 - Public show and visiting;

Sep.18 - Public show and visiting.

Sep.19 - Departure from Shanghai

The Organizing Committee of STF reserves the right to change the program.

Conditions of 29th Shanghai Tourism Festival

1. STF will undertake your performers:

a) Accommodations: The night of Sep. 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th.

b) Meals: The day of Sep. 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th.

c) Bus: The day of Sep. 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th.

d) Tourist Accident Insurance.

e) Visiting some famous sites of Shanghai.

f) A free tour guide will be with each performing group from the moment of its arrival in

Shanghai to its departure from Shanghai.

2. STF will NOT undertake your below items:

a) International transportation.

b) Visa.

c) Transportation to other city in China.

d) Expenditure besides the STF.

e) Expenditure of Non-performers (guests).

Performance of 29th Shanghai Tourism Festival

The performances of above festival include Rehearsal, Standing performance and Marching

Parade in the Opening Ceremony. The public performances will be at 2-3 times during the

rest days. They have different performing time.

The Organizing Committee will send you the Official Invitation letter after your group is

selected and accepted.
