Bansko is the most attractive mountain resort not only in Bulgaria but in the Balkans. It’s one of the preferred tourist destinations in Europe during all seasons of the year. Bansko is ranked at the top of all world ski resorts. The city is famous for its glorious history, interesting architecture, specific dialect and traditional cuisine.
Bansko is situated in a small valley in south-western Bulgaria, nestled between three mountains - Pirin, Rila and Rhodope. The mountain peaks keep this blessed place by summer heat, winter cold and winds, numerous thermal springs around endow people with power and health.
Over the past 20 years, Bansko is going through its contemporary economic and cultural renaissance. With the construction of an ultra modern ski centre, numerous luxury hotels and innumerable taverns, the city attracts tourists from all over the world throughout the year. Here everyone can find activities according to their interests - all kinds of winter sports, hiking, biking, climbing, fishing, horseback riding, golf, relax in the numerous spas with thermal water or indulge in culinary delights and local wine .
Different seminars, congresses and exhibitions, carnivals, concerts and festivals in various traditional and cultural fields - folk, jazz, opera, ballet, theater, cinema and gastronomy, a number of international sporting events with accompanying cultural program is held throughout the year in Bansko.   
All this happens at the foot of the majestic Pirin Mountain. Because of its beauty and unique flora and fauna it was declared a national park and protected by UNESCO. The marble and granite peaks snow mountain are looking as in a mirror in 186 ice alpine lakes, whose clear waters descend into the valleys.     
International festival "Mountain peaks" is a celebration of music, dance, beauty and friendship between people without borders and without prejudice. Its participants learn about the history and culture of the countries and cities from which they come.

Š¢erms of the festival:

  • The festival "Mountain peaks" is not a competition
  • Participants of female, male, mixed and children's choirs in all genres of music;- acappella, or with musical accompaniment
  • No restrictions on the age of participants
  • The organizers provide an invitation
  • To participate in the festival groups you need to send application form, artistic profile and some pictures of the group
  • Participants may be presented with live music or music on flash memory
  • The program of each composition must be within 10-15 minutes
  • The ensembles must bear the flag of his country
  • The ensembles are required to have medical insurance for members of the group for the duration of the festival. A copy of the insurance must be provided to the organizers together with a list of the group upon arrival
  • Information for special dietary requirements (due to health or religious reasons) to be submitted to the organizers 15 days before the start of the festival

Program:

1 day - Arrival and hotel accommodation in the selected category; meeting with the heads of the chambers; Registration of participants, presentation of excursions and tours; technical conference; dinner
2 day - breakfast; Bansko city-tour; parade of participants; festival program; dinner
3 day - breakfast; free time; wine tasting and folk dance workshop; dinner
4 day - breakfast; picnic in the mountains with barbecue; awarding of diplomas for participation and souvenirs, exchange of gifts; dinner; disco
5 day - breakfast; visit Sunday urban market for local goods and products; departure

Excursions to: Melnik and Rozhen Monastery; Rila Monastery; Park of the dancing bears; Leshten and Kovachevitsa; Bansko ski zone and Todorka with gondola and chairlift; the oldest tree in Bulgaria and hut at the foot of the highest peak in Pirin Mountain - Vihren / 2914 m /. Hike to mountain lakes with a qualified guide. Journey by narrow gauge railway in the Balkans. Spa relaxation in hotels or swimming pools with natural thermal water. Golf. Riding. Discos.

Participation fee:

  • € 129 per person for a 3 * hotel
  • € 149 per person for a 4 * hotel
Notes:
*for accommodation in a double room - extra charge of 5 euros per person per night; for a single room - supplement of 15 euros per night.
* Free accommodation of 26th or 43rd and 44th person in the group

Important advice: Be prepared with suitable clothing and shoes for mountain conditions, regardless of the season and activity program.
