The International Folk Dance Festival “Mare Adriatiko” will be held for the 10th time in Lido di Jesolo, Italy from 19th June till 24th of June 2016.

Lido di Jesolo, close to Venice, is a purpose-built beach resort in north-east Italy, on the Adriatic Sea. Its miles of sandy beach, rows of sunbeds and night-time entertainment attract thousands of tourists every summer. Entirely focused on tourism, Lido di Jesolo is very different to other Italian towns. Its layout, its shops and its services are all designed for the convenience of the resort's summer visitors, giving it a rather strange and unreal atmosphere. Existence here feels very sheltered: clean, well-organized and safe.

The city of Venice, Italy, is simply stunning and completely unique. Founded more than 1,500 years ago on 117 different islands, Venice is linked by a series of over 150 canals, 400 bridges and many ancient pavements. Venice is without doubt one of the most beautiful and popular cities in the world, and is always admired by the many tourists that visit throughout the year. There are numerous famous Venice attractions and sights to see: the Basilica San Marco, San Marco Square - situated in the heart of Venice; the Palazzo Ducale and the Accademia Gallery - with wonderful masterpieces by world-famous artists.

Aqualandia is the "water and themed" park number 1° in Italy, recently it has been elected best European Water Park, it mimics a real Caribbean Isle next to Venice, an oasis of entertainment of 80.000 square meters where relax, fun, extreme sports and water attractions are mixed together for every ages (from children to youth and families). www.aqualandia.it

Conditions for participation:

The International folk dance festival “Mare Adriatiko” is a non-competitive sample of traditional dances performed by folklore groups.
Modern popular music is not allowed!!!
During the Festival each group will have at least two performances on the squares (big stages) of Lido di Jesolo and province Veneto.
Depending of the number of the groups we will let you know about the minutes of your performance.
You can perform with live music or CD and you should have a flag and a sign with the name of the group for the Defile.
After the last performance there will be exchange of presents and diplomas.
Note: All groups need to send their music 10 days before festival!

All program activities and performances will be held in the evening hours with short parades so every day is free for participants to use the sandy beach or visit some of the tourist attractions. The expenses for the excursions (tickets and transport) should be paid by the participants.

The Festival organization can organize the following excursions:

Aqualandia, full day adventure (from 10:00 till 18:00). The price is 21 euro per person but only for the groups that will send list of participants before arrival in Lido di Jesolo.
Boat trip to Venice from Punta Sabbioni (10 euro per person). The group can use public bus or own bus to Punta Sabbioni. Return ticket for public bus is 7 eur. If the group use own bus there is ecological tax that need to be paid in the entrance of Punta Sabbioni (~ 300 euro depending of the bus).
OPTIONAL: one the way to Lido di Jesolo or on the way back home we can organize one night stay in PRAGUE, BUDAPEST, VIENNA and/or ROME so you can visit the city attractions.

Participation fee:

190 Euro per person - FB (3 meals per day)
175 Euro per person - HB (breakfast and dinner)

NOTE: typical Italian food / cuisine!!!

Participation fee includes:

Accommodation
Organizational expenses .
On 20 participants, every 21st is free of charge (usually driver or Leader of the group).
Drivers (only 2 per group) will receive 20% discount on the price.

Accommodation:

The accommodation of the groups will be in 3*** Hotels in Lido di Jesolo very close to the beach and the squares where the performances will be organized. The Groups will be accommodated in rooms with 3 and 4 beds with their own bathroom. Each Group can have only 2 double rooms which can be used for the Leaders and Drivers. For any extra double or single room the Group will have to pay additional fee according to the pricelist of the Hotel.

The Groups must send the rooming list by end of May. Groups that do not send, the rooming list will be made by festival and can’t be any changes upon arrival.

Transport and travel conditions:

The groups should pay the travel expenses by themselves to Lido di Jesolo and back. The groups coming by bus should use their own transport all the time during the festival. The festival will organize the transport for the groups coming by plane. The cost of the transportation from Venice airport to Lido di Jesolo and back to the same airport is 700 euro and should be covered by the group.

Parking for buses (during your stay) is paid by the group at the rate set on the parking place. There are only few free parking places on the main road of Lido di Jesolo around Aqualandia!!!

The groups have to arrive in Lido di Jesolo on 19th of June after 13:00 (starting with dinner) and leave on 24th of June 2016 after having breakfast and leave the rooms till 10:00.

The number of groups is limited.

The organizer reserves the right to any changes in the program, and the participants will be informed on time. The copy right of all video materials and pictures are ownership of the Organization of the Festival. By applying you confirm that you accept all festival conditions.

Any group willing to participate must submit an Application form.
Approved groups pay in advance a 5% guarantee fee, which is to be deducted at the final payment.

Participation fee can be paid via bank transfer or in cash on the day of arrival. Each participant group should pay 25% in advance after receiving the official invitation.
