INVITATION
With pleasure, we INVITE you (folk groups, dance groups, vocal and choir groups, majorette teams, orchestras, modern dance groups, children’s and adult groups) to participate in the XXVI International Music & Folk-Dance Festival “OHRID PEARL,” taking place from June 11 to 15 in Ohrid, North Macedonia.
The festival’s main motive is to present the cultural traditions of different countries and provide an opportunity for group members to come together, establish friendships, and present their culture through dance and music.
PARTICIPATION INFORMATION
This is a non-competitive festival. Eligible participants include children and youth folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, vocal and instrumental ensembles, soloists, and performers from other artistic styles.
The number of participants is limited to three groups per country. Each group should consist of a maximum of 70 members, including dancers, managers, musicians, and family members.
Each ensemble must prepare at least two folk dances, 12–16 minutes each, with orchestra or USB. Choral groups must prepare two parts of a free program, 12–16 minutes each. Performances take place in the evening, leaving daytime free for sightseeing and excursions.
Each group should send a short CV and five photos by email and bring a flag representing their country. Groups are responsible for their own arrival and departure transport.
PARTICIPATION FEE & ORGANIZER SERVICES
Participation fees include accommodation, as detailed below.
Organizer services include one free place for every 24 participants, certificates for attendance, souvenirs and presents for each group, drinks during performances, free bus parking, and festival promotion through press releases, e-flyers, social media, and posters.
Tourist tax and insurance are charged additionally at 1€ per person per day. Personal and group insurance is the responsibility of participants. First Aid and medical services are available on site but must be covered by the group.
Participants may extend their stay in Ohrid at special festival prices: 23€ per person/day HB. Special programs and festival evenings can be arranged for additional days.
After the festival, organizers will share a link for photos and videos of the event.

Day 4 – Excursions and Disco Party

Step 2 — Confirmation
You’ll instantly receive an email confirming we got your application.
Step 3 — Application Number
Within 2 days you’ll receive your Application Number and required materials list.
Step 4 — Review
WOFA reviews your application and checks availability.
Step 5 — Acceptance
If accepted, you’ll receive an Invitation Letter and deposit instructions.
Deposit must be paid within 10 days.
Step 6 — Secure Your Spot
Send us your deposit confirmation. Your participation is officially confirmed.
Step 7 — Finalization
A WOFA coordinator will guide you through the final steps: participant list, travel details, and performance info.

EXCURSIONS INFORMATION
Day 2 – Ohrid Sightseeing
Visit St. Sofia Church, Samoil Fortress, Antique Theatre, Plaosnik, and St. Kaneo Church.
Day 3 – Boat Cruise on Ohrid Lake
Visit the Museum on Water and St. Naum Monastery. Includes lunch packet and dancing on board.
Day 4 – Cultural Visits
Explore Stara Carsija, Cinar tree, Biljanini Izvori, Ohrid Pearl manufactory, and shopping opportunities.
Optional excursions are available for participants wishing to extend their stay.
TRANSPORT INFORMATION
The festival organizes transfers for groups arriving at Ohrid Airport. Transfers during the festival and back to the airport are included.
Groups arriving via Skopje, Tirana, or Thessaloniki airports (200 km from Ohrid) can arrange transport at additional cost depending on group size. Assistance with visas for North Macedonia is available on request.
