INVITATION
We are pleased to invite children, youth, and adult groups, including folklore groups, choirs, orchestras, majorette teams, brass bands, and modern dance ensembles, to participate in the XXVII International Dance & Music Festival “St. Kiril & Metodij”, taking place from May 21 to 25, 2026, in Ohrid, Macedonia.
This festival celebrates the Day of St. Cyril & Methodius on May 24 in Ohrid, the city of St. Kliment and St. Naum, who were the students of St. Cyril & Methodius. The festival’s primary objective is to present the cultural traditions of different countries and provide opportunities for groups to come together, establish friendships, and showcase their cultures through dance and music.
GENERAL RULES
The festival is a non-competitive showcase of traditional and modern dances and music. Participation is limited to three folk groups per country. Each group may consist of up to 50 members, including dancers, managers, and musicians.
Ensembles must prepare at least two folk dances, each lasting 12–18 minutes, performed with an orchestra or USB. Performances will take place in the evenings, allowing groups to explore historical sites in Ohrid during the day.
Groups must submit a short CV and photos, bring a flag of their country, and arrange their own transport for arrival and departure.
Participants can arrive by bus or plane. WIZZ AIR offers direct flights to Ohrid Airport. Free transport from the airport to the hotel will be arranged. Arrival via Skopje, Tirana, or Thessaloniki airports (200 km from Ohrid) can also be coordinated. Visa assistance is available on request.

Festival Organizers Provide:
Free accommodation for one in every 25 dancers, certificates, souvenirs and gifts for each group, disco party with drinks, drinks during performances, festival guide, free parking, advertising of the festival.
Insurance: Personal responsibility and health insurance are required. First aid and medical services available must be covered by the group.
Parking for buses is additional.
Participants may extend their stay in Ohrid at 29€ per day per person HB – special participant price.
Other centrally located 3 & 4-star hotels are available on request.
Extra double room: +10€/person/day, Single room: +20€/person/day

Tourist tax: 1€ per person.

Within 2 days you’ll receive your Application Number and required materials list.
Step 4 — Review
WOFA reviews your application and checks availability.
Step 5 — Acceptance
If accepted, you’ll receive an Invitation Letter and deposit instructions.
Deposit must be paid within 10 days.
Step 6 — Secure Your Spot
Send us your deposit confirmation. Your participation is officially confirmed.
Step 7 — Finalization
A WOFA coordinator will guide you through the final steps: participant list, travel details, and performance info.

EXCURSIONS INFORMATION
Day 2: Sightseeing tour visiting St. Sofia Church, Samoil Fortress, Antique Theatre, Plaosnik, St. Kaneo Church, and the Bridge of Wishes.
Day 3: Boat cruise on Ohrid Lake visiting the Museum on Water and St. Naum Monastery.
Day 4: Optional visits to Stara Carsija, the oldest tree (Cinar), Biljanini Izvori, Ohrid pearl manufactory, or the city of Struga.
Additional excursions can be arranged for groups extending their stay.
