INVITATION
We invite you to join us in the beautiful coastal town of Erdek, Turkey, for an international folklore festival and competition taking place from 26–30 June 2026.
Erdek is renowned for its pristine beaches, the crystal-clear waters of the Sea of Marmara, and its vibrant local culture. Located on the Kapıdağ Peninsula, it offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and traditional charm, creating an inspiring atmosphere for cultural celebration and international exchange.
FESTIVAL WELCOMES
The festival is open to folk dance groups of all ages.
GENERAL RULES
Performances should last between 5 and 10 minutes. Live music is preferred, while recorded music is also acceptable. Each group must prepare a minimum of two different performances. All groups are required to bring their national flag. For the official gift exchange, each country must bring three gifts. There is no limit on the number of participants per group.
The application must include a minimum of six digital group photos, a short group description, and performance videos or links with descriptions.
Groups are responsible for organizing their own transport to and from Erdek.
As confirmation of participation, a non-refundable deposit of 1,000 EUR per group must be paid in advance. The remaining balance is due 15 days before the festival or upon arrival at the hotel. The final application and deposit deadline is 15 April 2026.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation is provided in selected 3-star hotels in Erdek.
The participation fee is 209 EUR per person and includes 4 nights with half board, consisting of open buffet breakfast and dinner.
A double room supplement of 10 EUR per person per day applies. A single room supplement of 20 EUR per person per day applies. International health insurance is the responsibility of each participant.
INCLUDED BY ORGANIZERS
The package includes one free participation for every 25 paying participants, an attendance certificate for each participant, and full promotion and organizational support.
Hotel facilities include beachfront access, open buffet dining for breakfast and dinner, and accommodation in group rooms as well as double and single rooms, subject to supplements.
