INVITATION

 We invite you to join us in the historic city of Ohrid, North Macedonia.

Ohrid, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1980, is one of the oldest human settlements in Europe. Known as “the Balkan Jerusalem” for its countless churches and spiritual significance, it boasts a stunning location on the shore of Lake Ohrid, Europe’s oldest lake. The city is the birthplace of the Cyrillic alphabet and home to the first European University, founded in 893.

This festival offers a unique opportunity for cultural exchange in a city steeped in history from 05–08 December 2025.

Festival Welcomes
Mixed, male, and female choirs.

General Rules
Performance lasting 12–15 minutes (a cappella). Groups should bring their national flag. Maximum 50 persons per group (including performers, directors, and staff). Send a brief CV and 2–3 photos via email. Groups arrange their own transport to and from Ohrid.

Festival Organizers Provide
Free accommodation for one in every 25 dancers, certificates for attendance, souvenirs and gifts for each group, drinks during performances, a festival guide, advertising of the festival (press releases, social media promotion, flyers, posters), free parking.

Insurance: Personal responsibility and health insurance are required for all groups. First aid and medical services will be available and must be covered by the group.

Tourist tax: 1€ per person, paid additionally.

10.00 – 13.00 Ohrid sightseeing – visiting cultural monuments (St. Sofia Church, Samoil Fortress, Antique Theatre, Plaosnik, St. Kaneo Church, Bridge of Wishes)

Day 5

Optional Extension – Days 5–7
Day 5: Breakfast, sightseeing in Struga (House of Miladinovci Brothers, River Crni Drim, Kalishta Cave Church) and Vevcani Ethno Village. Lunch and dinner at hotel. Evening workshop learning different dances.
Day 6: Breakfast, free activities (walking around Ohrid Lake or city square), or visit Vevcani or Pogradec in Albania. Lunch and dinner at hotel. Evening beach party.
Day 7: Breakfast, departure to Skopje with optional sightseeing (Alexander of Macedon monuments, Macedonian Gate, Stone Bridge). 14.00 Departure from Skopje city.
