The intention of our invitation  and the Festival light motive is to present the cultural tradition of different countries and to provide an opportunity for the members of groups to get together, to establish friendships and culture presentation trough dance and music.

MATERA - the oldest city in the world,

  • Sassi di Matera: These ancient cave houses carved into limestone cliffs date back thousands of years — one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements in the world.
  • UNESCO World Heritage Site: Since 1993, the Sassi have been protected for their cultural and historical value.
  • Matera Cathedral (Duomo di Matera): Beautifully restored, offering panoramic views over the Sassi.
  • Casa Grotta di Vico Solitario: A traditional cave home museum showing how people once lived in the Sassi.
  • European Capital of Culture 2019: The city was revitalized and is now full of art, culture, and boutique hotels inside the caves.

Atmosphere: Mystical and cinematic — Matera has been used as a film location for movies like The Passion of the Christ and No Time to Die (James Bond).

ARBEROBELLO Famous for: Trulli — traditional cone-shaped stone houses

Highlights:

  • Rione Monti & Aia Piccola: The main districts where hundreds of whitewashed trulli line narrow cobbled streets.
  • Trullo Sovrano: The only two-story trullo, now a museum showing traditional life.
  • UNESCO World Heritage Site: Since 1996, recognized for its unique architecture and preservation.
  • Craft shops and local food: You can visit artisan shops, try local olive oil, and eat orecchiette pasta or burrata.

Atmosphere: Charming and fairy-tale-like — walking among the trulli feels like stepping into another world.
