INVITATION

We invite you to participate in an International Folk Dance and Music Festival in the beautiful coastal town of Didim, Turkey, taking place from 31 August to 05 September 2026.

Didim is situated on the Aegean coast and is famous for its crystal-clear blue-flag beaches, especially Altınkum Beach, impressive ancient landmarks such as the Temple of Apollo, and lively traditional markets. The town combines ancient history, natural beauty, and vibrant local culture, offering an ideal environment for international cultural exchange, artistic expression, and memorable performances.

The festival is non-competitive and welcomes folk dance and music ensembles from around the world, with participants aged 14 years and above.


 PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS

Each ensemble may present performances with a duration of 5 to 10 minutes, either on playback or accompanied by live instruments. There is no limitation on the number of performers per group. A maximum of three groups per country may participate, subject to the decision of the organizing committee.

All groups are kindly requested to bring the national flag of their country. Group photos must be submitted together with the application form. Participation lists must be sent no later than 01 August 2026.

Each group is responsible for organizing its own transportation to and from Didim, as well as local transportation during the festival. Free parking will be available throughout the event.


 ACCOMMODATION

Participants will be accommodated in selected 3-star hotels in Didim, such as Grand Didyma Hotel, Meryemana Hotel, or Pamukkale Hotel. Final hotel allocation will be determined by the organizing committee.

Accommodation includes hotel stay with breakfast and dinner (open buffet).

The participation fee is 40 EUR per person per day.
The total cost for 5 nights (31 August – 05 September 2026) is 200 EUR per person.

A single room supplement is available at +50% of the daily rate. Personal health and liability insurance are the responsibility of each participant or group.

Hotel rooms are arranged in double, triple, or quadruple occupancy, all with private bathrooms. The hotels are located close to festival venues and major attractions.


 INCLUDED BY THE ORGANIZERS

For every 20 paying participants, one free participant is granted (20+1). Participating groups will receive festival participation certificates and souvenirs, as well as three gifts per participant.

A professional guide will accompany the groups from arrival until departure. The program includes official protocol visits, such as meetings with the Governor, Mayor, or President of the Chamber of Commerce.

After the festival, a DVD and photo materials will be sent to participating groups. Full promotion, coordination, and organization of the festival are provided by the host committee.

The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the festival program. A detailed schedule will be provided upon arrival.


 EXCURSIONS AND OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

Optional sightseeing includes a historical tour of the Temple of Apollo, Miletus Museum, ancient ruins, the Baths of Faustina, and the Temple of Serapis. Boat trips along the Aegean coast offer the opportunity to explore secluded bays, swim in crystal-clear waters, enjoy lunch onboard, and participate in water sports or diving.

Participants may relax at the famous Altınkum Blue Flag Beach, visit Didim Aqua Park, or explore the lively Didim Market, known for spices, textiles, traditional sweets such as Turkish delight, and local handicrafts. Evening entertainment is available at beach clubs along the coast.

Local transportation is convenient, with frequent bus connections between Altınkum and central areas, as well as readily available taxis and group transport services.
