INVITATION
We cordially invite you to the beautiful city of Covasna, Romania, nestled in the heart of Transylvania. Known as the “City of 1,000 Springs,” Covasna is famous for its healing mineral waters, pristine nature, and rich folk traditions. The festival will take place in this picturesque setting, surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains, offering a perfect backdrop for cultural exchange.
PARTICIPATION INFORMATION
The festival welcomes folk ensembles, traditional dance groups, solo folk singers, and both amateur and professional folklore performers. Group performances should last a maximum of 15 minutes, while solo performers present one traditional piece, either a cappella or with accompaniment. Participants must bring traditional national costumes. Registration deadline is July 25, 2026. Participation is free, but groups are responsible for their own travel and accommodation.
ACCOMMODATION INFORMATION
Participants must arrange and pay for their own accommodation. The organizers do not provide or book hotels.
PROGRAM INFORMATION
Day 1 – August 15: Arrival and check-in at 17:00, followed by a technical meeting at 18:00.
Day 2 – August 16: Traditional costume parade at 15:00, folklore performances at 17:00, and festive dinner and celebration at 21:00.
Day 3 – August 17: Costume parade at 12:00, followed by final performances in the afternoon.

Optional excursions will be arranged upon arrival.
