INVITATION
We invite you to the Salalah International Folk Dance Festival 2025, taking place in the lush, monsoon-blessed region of Salalah, Sultanate of Oman. Set amidst breathtaking green mountains, waterfalls, and ocean breezes, this festival is part of the famed Khareef Festival, which annually draws thousands of visitors. Oman’s cultural charm, historical significance, and serene hospitality offer a unique atmosphere for folklore groups to perform and explore. Come celebrate tradition, art, and global friendship in a nation that bridges ancient trade routes and modern cultural diplomacy.
PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS
Open to folk dance groups (no live music required). Group size: 12 to 18 members. Minimum participant age: 16+. Each group must prepare a 30-minute performance. Groups must choose two suitable 5-night date options. Flights are not included and must be covered by participants.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
Daily 30-minute folk performances.
Accommodation and 3 meals per day provided.
Airport pickup from Salalah International Airport.
Guided sightseeing to local waterfalls, villages, and nature attractions.
Visa support provided if needed.
Meet and greet with local officials and cultural experts.
Cultural immersion in the Khareef Festival ambiance.
ACCOMMODATION INFO
Accommodation will be provided at Al Maqam Suites or similar hotels. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Airport transfers from Salalah International Airport are included.
FESTIVAL PROGRAM (5-Night Stay – Flexible Arrival)
Day 1 – Arrival: Welcome at Salalah Airport, transfer to accommodation, group orientation, and dinner.
Day 2 – Performance & Sightseeing: Breakfast, guided visit to local gardens or Wadi Darbat waterfall, evening 30-minute performance.
Day 3 – Cultural Tour: Visit Ain Athum, Sinkholes, or Banana Plantations, evening performance at festival stage.
Day 4 – Interaction & Free Time: Optional visit to Salalah Souq or Taqah Castle, cultural dinner and folk interaction night.
Day 5 – Performance & Celebration: Morning leisure or guided city tour, final performance and group photo ceremony.
Day 6 – Departure: Breakfast, departure transfer to Salalah Airport.
Each group may select their preferred 5-night slot between July 15 and August 30.
EXCURSIONS INFORMATION
During free time, participants can enjoy sightseeing and explore the natural beauty and cultural landmarks of Salalah and surrounding areas.
