INVITATION
We invite you to join us in the historic city of Telavi, Georgia, at the Vazha-Pshavela Professional State Drama Theatre.

Telavi, the heart of the Kakheti region, is renowned for its rich history, traditional Georgian architecture, and scenic vineyards. The city offers a unique cultural atmosphere, highlighted by its historic landmarks and warm hospitality.

This creates the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable cultural exchange during the festival from 07–11 June

Festival Welcomes:
Amateur and professional dance collectives, individual performers, children, youth, and adult groups, as well as students and other creative groups.

General Rules:
Present two performances totaling 5–12 minutes (USB or live music).
The opening and closing ceremony of the festival will be held.
Submit application and festival form by 10 May 2026.
Student-Youth groups must submit an application issued by the Students Self-Government.
Participants may display their or sponsors’ logo in a visible place.
Festival participants should strictly follow the regulations developed by the Organizing Committee.

ACCOMMODATION INFO

Accommodation at 3-star and 4-star hotels in and around the city center.

Participation Fee:
250 EUR – 4 nights with half board (breakfast and dinner).
Additional night: 30 EUR (with breakfast and dinner).

Additional Costs:
Tourist tax and insurance: Not specified (to be confirmed with hotel).
Excursion and transfer costs are extra (see Excursion section).

Included by Organizers:
Special prizes, certificates, and diplomas for the collectives.
Opportunity to perform at opening and closing ceremonies.
Full promotion and organizational support.

International Dance Festival in Telavi 2026 Celebrated the Beauty of Dance, Tradition and Cultural Exchange
The International Dance Festival in Telavi took place from 8 to 12 June 2026 in the beautiful Georgian city of Telavi, bringing together around 800 participants from different regions and cultures. The festival created a vibrant platform for dance ensembles to showcase the richness of Georgian folk dance, traditions, and artistic heritage, while promoting friendship, cultural exchange, and international cooperation through the universal language of dance.The five-day festival programme offered participants the opportunity to present their artistic performances, share experiences, and celebrate the diversity of folk traditions. All participating ensembles received the Festival Grand Prize in recognition of their outstanding performances. Each group and its artistic director were awarded a diploma, while all performers received official certificates of participation.The festival was honoured by the presence of distinguished guests, including Mzia Apridonidze, Director of the Choreographic School; representatives of the Sergo Zakariadze College of Modern and Traditional Arts; and choreographer Tinatin Koyava. The official guests also included the Mayor of Telavi, Vazha Maghradze, Pikria Kurshitashvili, Director of the Department of Culture, and Zhana Khandjaliashvili, Director of the Zaira Arsenishvili Cultural Centre at Telavi City Hall.
The International Dance Festival in Telavi continues to strengthen the city’s reputation as an important destination for cultural meetings, artistic cooperation, and the preservation of traditional dance heritage. The next edition of the festival will be held from 7 to 11 June 2027 in Telavi, Georgia. We invite dance ensembles from around the world to become part of this unique cultural celebration and experience the warmth, hospitality, and traditions of Georgia.
