XXXV International Folklore Festival “PRAGUE FEST”

INVITATION
We are delighted to invite folk ensembles, choral groups, orchestras, brass bands, majorette teams, vocal groups, and art schools (children, youth, and adult groups) to participate in the XXXV International Folklore Festival “PRAGUE FEST,” taking place from March 27 to March 30, 2026, in the stunning city of Prague, Czech Republic.
The main objective of the festival is to present the cultural traditions of different countries and offer participants the opportunity to establish friendships, showcase their culture through dance and music, and experience the vibrant atmosphere of Prague. The festival’s unique concept involves bringing music closer to the public by performing in the city’s streets and squares.
General rules:
The festival is open to children, youth, and adult majorette and orchestra groups. Participation is limited to three groups per country. Each group must have a minimum of 50 members, including dancers, managers, and musicians. Groups should prepare a 15-minute performance program.
Performances will be held in the evenings to allow for daytime excursions. A short group biography and two to three photos must be sent by post. All groups should bring their national flag and arrange their own transport to and from the festival.
ACCOMMODATION
Registration fees:
169 EUR – 3 nights with half board at hotels such as Top Hotel Prague
159 EUR – 3 nights with half board at hotels such as Olympik Congress or Olympik Tristar
119 EUR – 2 nights with half board at hotels such as Olympik Congress or Olympik Tristar
Payment can be made in installments until the departure date. One free spot is available for every 25th participant.
Included in the fee:
Accommodation with half board in triple (1/3) or quadruple (1/4) rooms.
Supplement for double (1/2) room: 5–7 EUR per person per night, depending on the hotel.
Festival organization and expenses.
Invitation letter for visa purposes.
Not included in the fee:
Tourist tax of 2 EUR per day (for individuals over 18 years old).
Additional hotel day: 45 EUR per person per night.
Refundable hotel deposit: 20–30 EUR per person, depending on the hotel.
Transportation, parking, insurance, vignette fees, and other travel-related costs.

COMMUNICATION STEPS
Step 1 — Apply
Fill out the online application form with your group details.
Step 2 — Confirmation
You’ll instantly receive an email confirming we got your application.
Step 3 — Application Number
Within 2 days you’ll receive your Application Number and required materials list.
Step 4 — Review
WOFA reviews your application and checks availability.
Step 5 — Acceptance
If accepted, you’ll receive an Invitation Letter and deposit instructions.
Deposit must be paid within 10 days.
Step 6 — Secure Your Spot
Send us your deposit confirmation. Your participation is officially confirmed.
Step 7 — Finalization
A WOFA coordinator will guide you through the final steps: participant list, travel details, and performance info.
PROGRAM
Day 1 – March 27
Arrival of ensembles at the hotel, check-in, and accommodation.
Optional Prague city tour with a professional guide, exploring Václav Square, National Museum, Old Town Square, Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge, and the Jewish Quarter.
Dinner at the hotel.
Optional evening at a disco for social activities.
Overnight stay.
Day 2 – March 28
Breakfast at the hotel.
Optional full-day excursions to Karlovy Vary, the famous Czech spa town, or Dresden, Germany, the capital of Saxony known for its historical and architectural beauty.
Free time for individual activities.
Return to Prague.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 – March 29
Breakfast at the hotel.
Festival day with sound checks and performances by cultural-art societies.
Distribution of certificates.
Dinner followed by an optional friendly evening gathering.
Overnight stay.
Day 4 – March 30
Breakfast at the hotel.
Optional Vltava River cruise.
Check-out and departure of ensembles with a fond farewell and plans for the next meeting in 2026.

Karlovy Vary Tour – 35 EUR per person
Discover one of Europe’s most famous spa towns, known for its picturesque architecture and healing springs.
Karlštejn Castle Tour – 25 EUR per person
Visit the medieval fortress built by Charles IV, offering stunning views and rich history.
Vltava River Cruise – 15 EUR per person
Enjoy a scenic boat tour along Prague’s beautiful river.
Evening Disco – 15 EUR per person
Social activities and entertainment in one of Prague’s well-known discotheques.
