INVITATION
With great pleasure, we invite you to participate in the International Festival of Dance and Music, taking place from 27 September to 3 October 2026 in the historic and vibrant cities of Ayutthaya, Bangkok, and Pattaya, Thailand. This unique event is set within the UNESCO Learning City network and brings together folk dance groups, music bands, and drum ensembles from around the world to share traditions, celebrate cultural heritage, and promote peace through art.
PARTICIPATION INFORMATION
The festival welcomes:
folk dance groups
music bands
drum groups.
GENERAL RULES
Each group will present three performances with a duration of 5, 10, 15, or 20 minutes. A judged competition will be held for ranks 1–3, Best Costume, and Best Performance. Group size should be between 10 and 65 persons, including officials, musicians, and performers. All members must be over 13 years old.
Each group must provide a profile, photos, YouTube links, and a detailed member list for the duration of the stay. Every group should also prepare one gift for exchange with the organizer.
Groups must arrange and cover their own international travel, visas, and insurance.
ACCOMMODATION & PARTICIPATION FEE
Accommodation will be provided in 3–4 star hotels in Bangkok and Pattaya with standard rooming of two persons per room.
The participation fee is 7,000 THB per person (approximately 187 EUR). Fees are accepted in Thai Baht only.
The fee includes six nights accommodation, full board with three meals per day starting with dinner on 27 September and ending with breakfast on 3 October, all internal festival transportation, entrance fees to cultural sites and islands including Ayutthaya Historical Park, Thai costume and elephant care activities, as well as certificates, awards, and souvenirs.
Payment can be made by bank transfer five days before the festival, or in Thai Baht cash upon arrival at the festival hotel.
For every 20 registered participants, one person is free of charge.
PROGRAM
Day 1 – 27 September
Arrival of groups between 08:30 and 14:00 with airport pickup and transport. Hotel check-in in Bangkok at 14:00. Dinner at 18:00. Directors’ meeting at 20:00.
Day 2 – 28 September
Breakfast at 07:00. Visit to the Grand Palace at 07:30 (optional entrance fee 500 THB). Travel to Ayutthaya Historical Park, a UNESCO site, at 10:30. Lunch at 12:00. Afternoon exploration of Ayutthaya. Dinner and free time at 18:00.
Day 3 – 29 September
Breakfast at 07:00. Travel to the performance venue at 09:00. Lunch at 11:30. Performances from 13:30 to 16:30. Dinner at ICONSIAM or Khao San Road at 18:00.
Day 4 – 30 September
Breakfast at 07:00. Travel to the performance venue at 09:00. Lunch at 11:30. Performances from 13:30 to 16:30. Dinner at ICONSIAM or Khao San Road at 18:00.
Day 5 – 1 October
Breakfast and hotel check-out at 06:30. Travel to Pattaya at 07:30. Hotel check-in and lunch at 10:00. Thai elephant care activities at 14:30. Dinner at 17:00. Final Performance and Award Ceremony with certificates, gifts, and photos from 19:30 to 21:00.
Day 6 – 2 October
Breakfast at 07:30. Island trip in Pattaya from 09:30 to 16:00 with lunch on the island at 12:00. Dinner and free time at Jomtien or Ancient Chinese Market at 18:30.
Day 7 – 3 October
Breakfast at 07:30. Lunch and hotel check-out between 09:30 and 12:00. Departure to the airport for groups. A lounge will be available for groups with later flights.
